If this had just been the Hulk face in a rectangular frame I would have bought it in a heartbeat, but I feel like the Rebel bit detracts from it a bit. Definitely love the artists style, think I've found myself a few new wallpapers.
I am pretty surprised I laughed so hard at this. I might have to get it for my older brother who used to beat the Voyager out of me in the holy name of Hogan.

Just asking, they've been selling it for years
Both the ABIDE graphic that you're referring to and this REBEL graphic are parodies of the iconic OBEY image.
Iconic and just as overused as his Obama poster. If we're going to use another artist's work to base ideas off of, can we at least choose someone new? PLEASE?!
funny, that its the same artist that is being emulated. And bot of his designs are basically the same setup. Big face on top, text on bottom. Only difference is a few more colors were thrown in with the Obama image.
Everyone seems to be "passing" on this design... I myself thought it hilarious (the video on the right made it even more so). Nice parody and I recommended it to some of my friends who were wrestling fans in Hulk's heyday.
I am a bigger fan of Shepard Fairey than I can express...but I'm not as big on this shirt. I don't really think the Hulk art at all really compares to the Andre art. SF's is more blocky and this is too detailed to really accurately parody I guess. Just my opinion.
[movie voice] "In a world...like our own, but grittier, hard boiled, and in stylized black and white, coming soon to a theater near you: Frank Miller's Sin City 2: Hulk Hogan, A Dame To Kill For."
unlike other people here, I think that this is one of the best ideas in a long time, and it's a heck of a lot more creative than the Watchmen and Star Wars ones. Maybe it's because I'm a huge pro wrestling fan, and I totally get why he chose to parody this. I think that it's just circumstance that it came up in the same month as two other Fairey parodies. Whatcha goona do when brother when this hulkamaniac goes wild on you!?!
Jimiyo, I would shout your name from the internets if that Twain visage were made available for purchase here. Thomas G. Sullivan, that is a nice design.
i, too, have purchased todays T as a giftie; and am certain that he will lurve it!
selfishly, i hope to see the inky twain as a shirt in the future -- love your work!
I feel like the work along the side is always so much better than the work on the shirt. I love the side bar work, but not the shirt so much. Took me a bit to figure out it was Hogan
I have a friend who's still the BIGGEST Hulk Fan! Going to shoot him this design. I like the graphic quality and love the John Wayne "WestSide", genius!
i was surprised to see this; and tho parodies arnt my thing, this is at least a new(ish) idea.
i love shepard fairey and his art work, his studio is only a few minutes from where i live, and meeting his was a wonderful experience.
on the other hand, hulk hogan is far from anything i enjoy, respect, or care to wear on myself.
I *HATE* you guys for that teaser of an email! Things look so good coming soon! OMG. Timing is always my enemy. I'm on a spending halt unless it's food.
It's a sad time.
Must start selling my stuff on eBay (If the search is working again) :D
Anyone order a spare male Large of this shirt and would like to sell it off when they get it? I missed out on this due to some things and would hate to miss this. Get back at me: Beowulf0@aol.com . thanks
Tell us about this design, did you watch WWF when you were younger? I pretended to be Ricky Steamboat. Who were you? I wasn't huge into it like some dudes, but I definitely liked watching the Hulkster, Sargeant Slaughter & The Giant on saturday mornings. This design was meant to be the direct opposite of Fairey's Obey propaganda.
What's a day in the life of deepspacemonkey like? Alternating between cigarettes & coffee, designing stuff for a few hours and then repeating the process. And then it's interstellar space travel in the afternoons, evenings on venus, you know--regular stuff.
Do you own alot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite? I have a fair amount, a lot of them are just handmade with spraypaint & stencils though. But I do have a few 'regulation' t-shirts as well. My absolute favorite is an Army of Darkness shirt that has Ash holding the shotgun over his head, and in big bold letters it reads 'This Is My Boomstick!'
If you were given $50,000, and you had to spend it in a day like Richard Pryor, what would you do with it? No investing. Easy, buy 50 G's worth of cocaine, freebase it, and then proceed to light my hair and clothes on fire and then run through the streets screaming bloody murder.
MAC or PC? And why is PC better... jk jk. Maybe why is MAC better, although you will be wrong. I'm on a mac now, but am well versed in PC too. Being a print designer it's just easier to work with Macs because that's what everyone else is on.
Any shout outs? Yeah, Hogan--ease up buddy! And Jimiyo you're work is off the chain!

Think about it in terms of this analogy:
OBEY is to REBEL as Andre The Giant is to Hulk Hogan.
If you don't know what any of those references are then this shirt is probably not for you. If you would like to know then just Google it up buddies!

Haha love that westside design on the side, though I probably couldn't wear it if it *was* a t-shirt, seeing as I live where I do. ):

I'd never wear a shirt with Hulk Hogan on it, or any other 'roided up show pony for that matter, but I do like the style of the art.
Frank Miller rules!

i actually think that was pretty apparent. not trying to sound mean, but yeah, that's pretty much the whole pun of the shirt.
