Teefury

You were recently printed at Teefury. What did you think of the experience?
Was great getting a whole lot of feedback on the design. Getting the shirts in the mail, the print looked awesome. It's nice to feel important with this whole question thing too. Love it. It strokes the ego.

Can you give us a glimpse in working with online art contests/sites?
Online art contests and sites, you can do exactly what you want, there's no real aims, there's no limits. Sometimes you win with stuff. Sometimes it's an epic fail. It's a play in the park... and sometimes you find some money lying in it. But for me it allows me to try new processes and styles and get feedback on how they look. I can then carry forward good stuff and laugh at bad stuff! Side note: The word 'stuff' is a crap word but I seem to use it a lot.

In comparison to freelance?
Freelance is serious. Working to a brief or a customers expectations is also fun and rewarding but the balance of just going out there and being picked by public opinion and selection of designs without having a brief to follow balances things a bit.
 
Do you have any wild stories?
I am actually shocked I don't have any worth telling here, other than the typical "I got drunk and...". I'm not wild, I am 23 and act like an old man half the time, my life consists of designing, making music, working, watching TV and playing PS3, the beach, exercising and going to bed early because I'm soft. I live by the beach in Sydney, so my biggest dangers are moderate traffic into the city or drowning in the surf... and I would much rather sip on a cup of coffee at a café in thongs than dress up and dance and chat all night and have mad wild stories to tell. I just need to face it... I'm quite boring! And so was that answer!
