I think you posted this on DBH a little bit ago and I wasn't that into it, but it definitely looks awesome now. the colors are sweet and go great on the charcoal shirt. most likely will pick this up. congrats on the print!
Alright I'm going to sleep. This shirt better have sold a bajillion copies by time I wake up or I'm going to tell that giant robot to just look the other way the next time a robot is stomping on your city.
Toonstar said: That looks wicked! Nicely drawn, colours are sweet, cool design, bought. Cue political conversation about robots attacking Kabul! :|
Clearly this photograph was taken during the battle of Fallujah. All those Iraqi monsters had it coming.
Oh God no, is this another political conversation? I effing hate when reality penetrates my carefully constructed self-obsessed hyper-consumptive social-networking bubble.
Er, I mean, I dig the color scheme, really nice contrast, especially the backlighting effect of the blue outlines, nice action scene too. How did the robot manage to simultaneously blow up the critter and mug for the photo? You must have kept the shutter open for a while.
This is awesome. All of the stuff on the side is also awesome. I already have a shirt with a full frontal giant robot looming over a city so that's the only reason I didn't buy.
congrats on the print, and big props to Jimiyo for this "Curation" I'm loving the sketchy feel and those colors are perfect! the cool blue steel of the robot and the destructive orange in his path. The shirt is screaming at me to wear it but my closet space tells me I would have to buy a new house to accommodate more t-shirts
Are the comments filtered here ? or the tradition in US is to only leave positive comments ?
I never saw any negative thought here, and for example here I think this one is quite ugly, so there should be at least 1 or 2 people that don't like it...?

Also, i bought this! 5th purchase on teefury! I love the colors, and i've wanted a cyan-on-charcoal shirt since the chameleon camo shirt a bit ago. Awesome contrast.

Have you never watched Power Rangers??? The robot made his killing blow, struck a pose, THEN the monster blue up. Durrrr!

It's obvious he had rocket skates on and rammed into the monster while posing. The enormous momentum blasted him through and simultaneously brought him to a perfect stop. Duh!

While that's not what happened, that's also cool too.
Seriously, is a Cerebearus shirt available someplace else, or is there any possibility I can buy one? Also, sick design on this shirt too. Keep up the good work.

No I never, ever, watched the Mighty Morphine Powder Rangers. Maybe I was never high enough to find it interesting. Although, I did really enjoy Ultraman (ask Sherman to set the Way-Way-Back Machine).
Just bought a shirt, so do you want this dollar bill in your g-string or should I make it rain?

Oh my bad, didn't realize you were an older gentleman. I didn't even know what "getting high" meant when Power Rangers was out.
Oh my goodnessss, bought! I grew up on Gundam, Ultraman, and MMPR so this shirt directly appeals to me, plus I can never find girl shirts with giant robots, so great design! :)

I'm not old, I was 10 years old when that show came out, and getting high, and that show still sucked donkey kong sack. I've been clean and sober since 2000.

I see, you mentioned watching Ultraman (which was like 60's and 70's right?) so I figured you were a geezer. Well if you were getting high at 10yrs old then maybe Power Rangers wasn't for you. Every other 10yr old boy loved it though, haha.

Love it! Love it! Love it! I'm so glad I got here just in time to buy it (less than 2 hours left). Dang, this is my second tee this week. But how could I resist? Not too many girl shirts like this. And those other "pretty", "dainty" ones are not for me. This is *completely* my style. Thanx!!

What if the one you bought catches on fire somehow? You won't be able to buy another one! You should get 7 so you could wear one every day of the week!

Hee hee I see it too. It's like the big ol' robot is all proud it saved the city again! :)
I would have bought this but I got home just now.. checked teefury and almost cried when I saw I missed it.. Still Broke from buying "Love is a smoking gun"
Just got this in the mail, WesleyCrusher is much higher quality then my first TeeFury shirt. The image is much larger and more vibrant in person, very happy with it. Though shipping was longer then last time (which was blazing fast).
Tell us about this design: This design is a collaboration between me and my buddy Jorge Jaurez aka Luminous. We met in art school like over half a decade ago and have been best friends ever since. We pretty much love all the same things and have an affinity for things we consider "badass". Giant robots are definitely one of those badass things we have a fondness for. This design is inspired by shows like Power Rangers, Ultraman, Gundam, Big O, Big Guy and Rusty, Gurran Lagan and more. Jorge is one of my biggest inspirations, the kid draws like every day, he makes me feel really lazy. He's a really great draftsman and he gets better everyday. We'll be doing many more collaborations in the future. You can check his blog out here: http://eaglegriptechnique.blogspot.com
You were recently printed at Designbyhumans, a wonderful website with some really awesome shirts. hehe ;) Tell us about that experience, especially about the 10K. Was it nerve racking? What was the aftermath like?
"Revenge is Sweet" was a really fulfilling win. My gut told me that my previous Halloweek entry (a mummy) wasn't original enough and I needed to do something unlike anything else in the contest to have a better shot. My instincts paid off, and it's one of my favorite things I've done. The 10k was bananas! Hell yes it was nerve racking, haha. I'm pretty new to all this t-shirt stuff, I hadn't been printed at DBH yet, I didn't really have a "fanbase", so I felt like a dwarf going to battle with giants. I really had no expectation of winning, I just wanted to test my metal against the gods, haha. I worked really hard on my design and worked really hard on promoting it as well. I was lucky enough to have several people who took it upon themselves to promote my design on their twitters and facebooks and what not. I want to give a shout out to a friend Brittney who was very diligent in helping me. I was genuinely surprised to be the 5th runner up, since the scores were hidden I had no idea and assumed that I had got close but no cigar. When my shirt went up I was really excited, surprised, and validated. I enjoyed spending that money too, haha. I'll be back for the next 10k and I'll be winning the grand prize ;)
Where do you draw your inspiration?
I'm a huge comic book/cartoon geek, so that's probably my biggest influence, also movies, and sci-fi books and just weird/cool/funny stuff in general. I also really love folklore, folk tales, fairy tales, and mythology of all different cultures. I have a little notebook I keep in my back pocket at ALL times when I leave the house, and whenever an idea pops into my head I write it down, so it's a book full of things like "Lou Diamond Phillips made out of diamonds" and "What if Santa is really Jesus in disguise?"That's the kind of stuff I think about all day. I like zany off the wall unexpected ideas.
I can suck a spaghetti noodle up my nose and have it come out my mouth. Do you have any fun tricks you can do or are you like totally boring? I've seen your pictures. I know you are an entertainer of some sort.
That's sick Jimiyo. Really sick. I'm really thin and flexible so I can do a few things that most people can't, for instance I can reach my hand around my back and touch my belly button. Try it out, you'll probably hurt yourself. Also, I can do one thing that people say is "impossible", I can lick my own elbow. I'm like a really useless superhero. I for sure like to entertain people, I love making people laugh. When I was younger I kinda wanted to be a stand-up comedian, everybody told me I should be one, but I don't have to balls to stand in front of a crowd of strangers, so I settle for making my friends laugh, and writing humorous things.
Anything you want to talk about?
I've gotten a lot of instant messages and e-mails about the Superfly design, people want to know if it's available anywhere else. At the moment, no, it's not, sorries :( but I promise you'll see it again in the future, I don't know when yet, but trust me nobody wants it available more than I do ;) If you want to stay updated on Superfly or any of my other designs you can follow my blog http://straystraystray.blogspot.com also my twitter http://twitter.com/kissmyaesthetic I occasionally give away free shirts to random people. Another reason to follow my blog is I've got some comic projects in the works that should be a lot of fun, so stay tuned.
