I totally understand what you mean. For this type of shirt, taking photos of bats and editing them into the same composition would have been a much more effective approach, but I only figured this out after I completed the design. I had no idea that the noses were much larger than they should have been, but they do add some character to the bats :)

There's actually more than one species of bat in this design. The largest bat is a vampire bat, but the rest are a smorgasbord hybridization of other bats (mainly brown bats).
