Hrm, I know it's a paradox to love gory movies like Tarantino stuff and gory zombie flicks but really dislike the message in the shirt. I think wearing it, I'd feel like I'd be confessing a love for killing instead of making an ironic statement about how human culture loves 'dem guns.

I don't understand, I keep seeing these comments and just wonder why in the hell people keep coming back to see awesome tees that they won't buy anyway and then continuing to beat a dead horse by complaining about it. It's NINE DOLLARS. If you want super god quality, you'll have to pay premium dollar.
This shirt brought this quote back into my mind, took awhile to find it in full: "If you haven't bought a gun or a pickax at one point it's not a real relationship" -- Dead Like Me. Will probably buy this sometime tomorrow... just need to sleep on it...
I like the Tshirt material. The screenprint lasts a good 5-8 washes before it starts to chip but the shirt its self along with most of the print will last a good couple of years of biweekly wear.
jgmcgowan said: I like the Tshirt material. The screenprint lasts a good 5-8 washes before it starts to chip but the shirt its self along with most of the print will last a good couple of years of biweekly wear.
Agreed.
Seriously people if you are going to complain about the quality of the shirt don't bother coming back here day after day. The trolling is getting quite tiresome.
6-8 washings? KHAAAAAAAN you guys must be really hard on your clothes... the only problems i've had with mine are some warping but, like everyone says, it's a $9 shirt. worse comes to worse i cut out the print and sew it onto something else. and seriously, all of my shirts have held up through waaaaaaaay more than 8 washings.

Wouldn't a more appropriate title be "LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE"? Six plus years of daily slaughter of civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Pakistan, but check out how white our hats are and how noble our intentions.
Sorry my first post had to be a downer, but our horrific escapades in the middle east have been wearing me down for the better part of a decade and since I pay attention, think for myself, and care, the pain and bottomless frustration is always roiling just beneath the surface, and it doesn't take much these days to bring it out.
Hallucinogenic said: Wouldn't a more appropriate title be "LOVE, AMERICAN STYLE"? Six plus years of daily slaughter of civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Pakistan, but check out how white our hats are and how noble our intentions.
Lol @ you being cliche. I also find it very statistically improbable that civilians are being killed every day (I assume you mean by Americans). Heck, I don't think we even kill terrorists daily.
Think i'm in, as I like this design a lot. Wish he would have been more creative with the "E". Maybe a set of brass knuckles worked in, or a military plane w/ missiles on the wings... I dunno.

It's like the lives of a 100 Iraqi people dying in one day means nothing. "I dont think we even kill terrorists daily" !?? Is that right, is that what the last 8 years of war have been about? Killing terrorists daily, making your home safer by destroying a 100 homes on the other side of the world.....

Please note the word BY. They were saying that if civilians are being killed every day, it's not BY us. As with most people who jump on their soapbox, you don't know what you're talking about.
The shirt is awesome, though.
I've only been buying maybe 1 out of every 12-15 shirts on here starting earlier this year and I am very impressed with their quality considering the cost. I haven't experienced any fading or warping but I also don't wear the same shirt twice in a week or even more than twice in a month.
As for the political debates, if you have a better solution for how to deal with the Middle East violence that has been screwing over the entire world for pretty much well, EVER...feel free to share. Otherwise, respect those who sacrifice so that you may live freely or go live on a commune and drown in the haze of your drug-induced utopian fantasies.

I do not think the person your quoting is suggesting soldiers are doing vietnam semi-genocide as in, walking into villages wiping people out meaninglessly... but to say they are NOT killing any civillians whether it be accidently from someone in the crossfire or not is just plain ignorant and wrong...

Seriously man. If you don't like the quality don't come here. I personally have no issues with the quality. I've got many tee shirts from various companies/sites and all are fine. If I like the shirt I buy it and wear it. Why complain? What's the point?
Ya know, if you wash yer shirts inside out in cold water, then tumble dry, you preserve the life of the Tee. That being said, enuff bitching about the quality of a $9, limited edition, one of a kind shirt.
This design is interesting - not interesting enuff for a wicked political debate on a t-shirt site tho. Chillax people!

this is the first t shirt that i like from this site....but now im worried that material is not good. Are they really thin? Is it like a Hanes t shirt?..like an under shirt? like American apperal? I really wanna buy it!! can some one who has bought tee's before answer me? its very cute.
HOLY Voyager! Just saw all the WAR comments- Gotta love that the design evokes that much emotion, but I doubt preaching on a soapbox (either side) on teefury does anything other than torque off others. Let's just comment on the shirt, mm'kay?
i've never bought a t-shirt here before, but i really like this design. just one question- does the women's cut fit like a threadless women's cut? i'd appreciate any sort of description of how the women's cut fits.

It kind of fits like an American Apparel Tee in that it is fitted but these shirts are longer than the American Apparel Tees that I have. But it doesn't fit like a generic concert shirt or gender neutral/ guys shirt so it is not boxy. If you are not sure what size to get, there is a sizing chart thing on the site that I used when I bought my first shirt from here and it fits perfectly.
@Dennis O'Niel... Your photography is AMAZING. I lived outside San Francisco for a while and it brought a huge smile to my face to see your pictures. The Redwoods are BEAUTIFUL. Keep up the good work. Do you sell prints?
Weird that people keep telling other people to shut up and just comment on the art aspect of the t-shirt design. Why can't we have a reasonable interesting discussion that the theme of the shirt brings to mind? Why can't someone comment on the quality or lack of quality of the shirts? This is a comment section, and I see no reason why people can't express their views, as long as they are not belittling and insulting other people's views (which some people can't seem to resist doing).
As far as this shirt goes, I thought it was satire and a comment about our current wars raging in the world. But I see some people who think it's actually a comment on loving the military. So if it's that vague, I think I'll pass on owning the shirt.
As far as quality goes, I've gotten men's and women's shirts, the women's were much thinner as is what women tend to like, and the mens were much thicker and stiffer. I'm always careful washing inside out in cold, and either hang dry or use dryer. I try to put them in with delicates which would not include a bunch of jeans with zippers and buttons.

How are you people washing your clothes? I have shirts from the very beginning of TeeFury that the designs are still in perfect condition. 1. Don't pack the washing machine to the gills 2. Don't wash in HOT water, wash in cold. 3. DO NOT DRY on HIGH and don't dry in dryer at all if possible. Air drying is the best case scenario but if you have to dry them in the dryer, do so on low.
My best advice is to always read the label on the shirt and follow the washing instructions. If it says wash in cold water, do so. If it says, do not machine dry, don't. Even if you get a one of the scratchy shirts (shudder), your design should last more than 6-8 washings. If it doesn't, then why are you still buying here? I wouldn't be.
As long as you don't get a scratchy shirt you're alright. I think it is important that someone brings up that they're not going to buy a design because of the shirt quality. If the design is right I'd have no problem spending $15 on a tee. I'm not poor and spending a few extra bucks on a tee that you buy once in awhile isn't going to send me skyrocketing into debt. I have the Badical shirt and the Veni, Vidi, Vici shirt and they're basically like wearing sandpaper. You cant really wear them for more then a few minutes without wanting to tear them off, especially the Veni, Vidi, Vici one. Now I also have a few other tees from here that are nowhere near as bad. I think TF should CLEARLY state what tee manufacturer they are printing each shirt on.
Like I said if it's a design I REALLY dig I'll pay the extra money to make sure I get a quality shirt I can ACTUALLY wear. That's my 2 cents.
Oh and I only mention it cause at this point I don't know what kind of tee I'm going to get when I order one. So it would put my mind at ease to know it's not coming on sandpaper.

I deleted a couple of posts that went over the line. The discussion was veering into attacking other posters for having differing political beliefs, and it stopped being constructive. Rather than have additional hurt feelings, I think it would be more appropriate for people who want to discuss these issues further to direct that towards a political website.

I actually read a forum thread on this site, which is unusual for me. Apparently they're going back to non-scratchy men's shirts. But they may still be in a transitional phase, not sure.?

A political design? *facepalm* Why should we back away you ask? Because it's a site that sells t-shirts. KHAAAAAAAN good tshirts I might add.
Oh, and about the shirt. Not bad. I think that E could've used a more interesting treatment though like the others. Looks like you couldn't think of a way to do it so just went with a regular letter.
I decided not to get it because of the little bazooka trooper. Doesn't really fit with the whole "violence of Philadelphia" theme that I'd want, instead it makes it seem like someone loves war and killing -- and not in a satirical way.

Rather than have additional hurt feelings, I think it would be more appropriate for people who want to discuss these issues further to direct that towards a political website.

A political design? *facepalm* Why should we back away you ask? Because it's a site that sells t-shirts. KHAAAAAAAN good tshirts I might add.

Even if it's no good for our troops, it's still kind of funny in context.
