Now this is something I don't understand and in the worst way possible.

I'm all for pop art but it looks like it's just cramming as many pop fads onto a shirt as possible with no real justification. I get the "haha michael jackson is dead he's a zombie from thriller" but the lego just doesn't make any sense.

Is that even what Michael Jackson looks like? I understand the "thriller" outfit but other than that the face looks strange.... Now what they really should have done for a MJ tribute would be using Randy McQueens Drawing....

This is horrible. First, it's MJ, playing on the whole fanaticism that's going on posthumously. Second, they the hell is it a lego? Third, no glove. Fourth, as StablerCake said, MJ was black during Thriller. This shirt fails all over.

I'm pretty sure the halloween-themed shirts were just a week long thing, so after whenever TeeF's close of business day is, then it should subside.

This -as was yesterday's offering- is an example where if i didn't know the title would I still understand it as being MJ? I obviously do, right now, since he's still in the news and all... and the jacket and hair kind of point to that interpretation... but after the media attention toward his death passes (if it does haha..) will anyone "get" this shirt, as it comments on current events? Not that anyone needs to necessarily understand some deep meaning with a tshirt (I actually think that suggesting so is ridiculous, so maybe I'm being ridiculous...)

Basically I am talking in circles.

That apple with the worm in it is pretty groovy, and the colors on that are cool

I actually thought it was just a normal zombie as a lego, which didn't make much sense, and then when I realized it was supposed to be Michael Jackson I had a major "WTF" moment, and realized that that also did not make much sense.

LEGO zombies! Awesome! This reminds me of some stickers that I had gotten from the guy who does "The Creatures In My Head" drawings. Whenever LEGOs and zombies are in the same picture, I'm all for it...

nice design, i love the rampant use of yellow! and the slight upward tilt of the head. ominous looking.

on a side note, it is my personal opinion only, that the complaining and the "oh my god i'm so offended" stuff that been posted yesterday and today gets old fast. we are on a site that sells $9 tee shirts. teefury does not want to offend us because we buy their products. it's only our personal demons that cause us to react in the way we do. there is no hidden racism or disrespect intended in any of these shirts. these are just tee's from artist who want to bring a little light hearted fun into our lives

Yeah, I don't get it. I really like the colors and the composition, but MJ and Legos aren't even tenuously related. I can just imagine somebody asking me to explain what was on my shirt and having to say, "Yeah, well, I guess it's just not supposed to make sense." Not the kind of statement I like to make.

I don't see this shirt working on any other color than black... Red maybe but I guess I'm not in the tshirt business so, hey.

Yeah, oh dear, TeeFury striking up major controversy again! CALL CNN!

It's a shirt, it has a lego rendition of Michael Jackson on it (and if you've seen the Thriller video recently you'll know that they had makeup on him as a zombie). If you don't like it, don't buy it, Arguing whether he was black or white at the time is nonsensical. He was Michael Jackson, a paradox, and not something to discuss with a logical mind. I doubt this shirt will get hung in a museum and in six years when I'm using this shirt as a rag to wash my car my hope is that it causes me to remember how awesome Thriller is. If you think every design printed here is supposed to be timeless, you clearly don't get TeeFury at all.

If this is a rip of David McNeely's Lego thriller then I have issues with it. Other then that it's kinda funny. Still don't know why he's a Lego though. But then again why were zombies hoisting a flag on yesterday's tee? Why was Wotto making a skull tee the day before that instead of his usually cartoony stuff. Maybe it's an upside-down week at TeeFury. I don't know. I'm gonna go smoke. This Halloweenie stuff will be over soon anyhow.

I wonder if the Michael Jackson paradox will hit philosophy books anytime soon?

Am I the only one that doesn't care that the past couple shirts have been printed on black? Oh and FYI, not all of them were; "Seasons of My Mind" Was on GREY and "Keepers Of The Crypt" was on a faded brown color. Also, I don't know how some people can be soooo critical about someone's work as to say "This shirt fails all around". There's a difference between CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM and being down right rude. FURTHERMORE, aren't Lego's traditionally yellow!?

My interpretation for the Lego MJ is that all of the Lego video games are pretty popular. I'm almost 30 and I love the Lego video games. I think this shirt is cute.

So totally agree on every level.

The reason his skin is yellow is becuase that is the most ubiquitous lego minifig color there is. It's "classic" in that sense.

As for the shirt... Why not? Who cares if anyone gets it? Who cares if it won't "make sense" to people next year or in five years or ten years? If ya like it, buy it. If ya don't, don't.

How many of us walk into our local disneyland/target/meijer et al. and whine because we don't like EVERY shirt they sell or that we don't "get" one of their shirts?

LOL wow there are a lot of people who thought I was 100% serious biz when I said the MJ was black thing. It actually did throw me off a little, though, had me second guessing that it was supposed to be MJ. Anyway, yes they do make black lego dudes, I had a couple from my brother's Lego hand-me-downs.

The next 'Grag Bag' is gonna be filled with Halloween shirts.

ok i get the lego thing now. at first i was reeeeally confused. maybe the artist made it a spoof of the lego one instead of the real mj because it could be seen as distasteful to portray the human mj as a zombie so soon? i dunno. just speculating. i like the design elements of it tho. the colors are very bold :)

1. MJ didn't wear a glove in the Thriller video, it makes no sense to have him wearing one in this shirt.

2. Legomen are iconic to be yellow, for this one to be black would take away from the whole Lego theme. The face is grey in this picture because of the lego created by David McNeely. Links to it are already posted.

And to those of you who are spewing the "how offensive" thing, come on. If you were a fan of his music and videos BEFORE he died, the first thing you thought when seeing this shirt should have been "Oh, it's MJ from Thriller...and he's a LEGO!"

Obviously some people did not have Legos growing up and didn't know that Lego people are typically yellow! Its their trademark. I like the shirt, but I won't be buying it because I'm not a MJ fan.

I've eaten many Legos in my youth, and I found the ...outcome too painful that I was unaffected by it's addictive chemical compounds.

to all those who are complaining about Halloween tees:

most of the "Halloween" tees that are being sold this week have designs that're versatile enough to be worn all throughout the year. And if you have a problem with it, just don't buy the shirt. That saves you $9. I mean, it's not like there's a different shirt each week or month, it's daily, so you don't have to wait that long to see if you like the next one.

As for the shirt... I apparently fail at culture references because my only thought was "AWESOME! A Lego Zombie!" I didn't expect it to be MJ or have a glove or be a certain color. It's a Lego Zombie! Holy Crickets people. Everyone is so sensitive. Just sit back and ENJOY life and stop looking for reasons to knot your knickers.

To everyone complaining about the skin, LEGO usually likes to keep race ambiguous to avoid controversy. It's also their trademark.

The fact that these two things (MJ and legos) don't go together or are connected in anyway is EXACTLY why this shirt is awesome. Who gives a flying DonaldDuck if he was black or white during thriller or if he doesnt quite look perfectly like MJ or if he has no DonaldDuckin glove. Look past the details you perfectionist pigs and see that everything has its pros-n-cons and that randomness is a godsend.

So I guess the artist did get permission or TF doesn't care that he didn't.
