About the artist
A word from the curator:
Hands down, the coolest thing about evolution is when it takes an unexpected twist. Fish with transparent skulls, dinosaurs with feathers, the platypus... when nature gets creative, the world gets much more interesting. Here's to mutants of all kinds!
Tell us the background of this design.
I scored a minor hit a while ago with a tee shirt design called "Evolution of the AT-AT" (it's a pretty cool design IMHO). I wanted to see if I could do another geek style evolutionary chart. Obviously riffing on the idea of the 'mutation'.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
That I love them very much, and so does their mother.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
I run a business selling women's tights... but, truth be told, I'm proud of that.
Name a few of your favorite things.
Gunpowder, dynamite, gasoline.
What are your feelings about hamsters?
I'm against them.
Would you rather be an astronaut, an astronomer, or an astrologist?
Surprisingly - I really love working in the fashion industry, can't really imagine myself doing anything else.
Batman vs. Superman: who would win the battle?
Well, using The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller as the standard text on the matter... impossible to call.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
JOKE by James Lillis, mashing up Heath Ledger's Joker with Shepard Fairey's Obama. Reminds me of a really interesting time in my life.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Reading... comics. Loving 100 Bullets by Brian Azzarello.
What inspires your work?
Any shout outs?
While while I'm here, should probably give one to Jimiyo - unselfishly gave me some much needed free advice back in the day when I was starting out designing tees
