That how I imagine myself if the "world is going to end" thanks to an asteroid hitting earth. I will get all cozy on a hill and watch it come down.
I love the side art... and I really like this shirt. Unfortunately, I have a round tummy, and I'm worried the curvature at the bottom of the image will accentuate that.

If its big enough to be a world destroyer, you'd probably end up incinerated then. And you wouldn't be able to watch it because it would come down to Earth too fast.
I like the design, but it feels like there's something missing. Maybe I shouldn't have seen the original. The original off the shoulder is soo much better.
I love the hand drawn moon and sail boat design on the side.

Why must you poo-poo on my 2012 fantasy?? I'm sure if it's big enough to destroy the planet, we'll be able to see it coming for at least a couple days. :-)
I like this one. Reminds me of my past. I used to watch the Perseid meteor shower every year with the family out in the forest by the ocean. I might buy this, just for that memory alone. Beautiful shirt.
I think my body type hates the shirts TF uses. I love the prints but god help me theres only one tf shirt I have been able to wear comfortably with out it bunching up here, being too tight there, and it seems like the different colors all feel different. *sigh* I know a lot of people love the quality of the shirts but I'm quite partial to thin/soft tees instead of the think heavy tees.
I just love this design so much. its so difficult but the black shirts have always been the worst on me. I love love LOVE the womens shirts, they're thin, soft, long, but alas the XL is about 2 sizes too small for me. I can do an XL in old navy shirts, in faded glory, and american apparel comes *this* close to fitting.
Loving the designs on this shirt and the 2 before it, but not really on a T shirt.
I'm glad they've been printing a lot of darker shirts. None of the light shirts fit very well and are see-through, no matter what. :/
This is definitely a really cool design. The design is very peaceful and the use of negative space is wonderful. I like the designs on the side as well.
Eh, not really my thing, but great art work overall!
Wish the teefury design was not limited to just the Chest and only 15X19. I think this shirt would've been awesome if the sky took up the whole shirt or something, and went around the backside. That's just me...
Even though I only kinda like this shirt, I have to buy it 'cause I had the most amazing dream last night where I was looking up at the sky and watching shooting stars. And didn't even remeber it until I saw this shirt this morning.

Not true either. It only has to be about 12 miles in diameter to wipe out all life on Earth. 12 miles wide isn't very big when looking up at the sky. Doubt you'd see it normally.
Nice concept. One tiny suggestion would have been to break up the 'moon circle' with silhouettes of larger tree branches along the edges. Since its not actually a moon the circle is a bit confusing, as if we're viewing this scene through a tunnel opening. Just saying.
Interesting, very peaceful. I wish the person's shirt or skin was some sort of muted color or lighter gray so it would come more to the front because it seems to be on mostly the same plane, but that's pretty nitpicky. Nice job,
I'm getting pretty tired of coming here expecting something to perk me up or spark my interest only to find yet another bland, generic BLACK t-shirt instead of the colourful, fun t-shirts that were pretty numerous back when I first started coming here...

Smith College? Wow, Mel, smart girl! I think it would be wonderful if you joined the world of design after school, regardless of what you are majoring in. Congrats on the design, it's super gorgeous.
Before I forget... Hey Meliko... give my love to Northampton. Tell her (yes, I think of Northampton as a female force) I miss her and I'll be back in a couple years. I would give anything for a pizza from Pizza Amore over on Green St.
Words from the Curator: You almost wonder if it's just a falling star, a comet, or an asteriod about to hit the earth.
Tell us about this design: This design is close to my heart. I'm really into silhouette designs, and I wanted to do something that expressed the wonder of looking up at the stars. The name comes from a song that also captures what I was going for here. This isn't actually the original design -- my computer crashed at the beginning of last year and I was stupid and didn't have a back-up. I recreated this design over the summer and I think it might look better than the original!
Tell us about yourself: I'm a senior at Smith College currently looking into joining the design world after graduation, despite the fact that I'm majoring in government. For a while I worked for a local web design company, which was pretty rad. I'd like to continue doing web stuff and some graphic design and branding in the future, maybe even advertising.
Do you own alot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite? I love tees. I pretty much exclusively wear tees and cargo pants/shorts. My favorite is probably Lions Are Smarter Than I Am: http://www.threadless.com/product/765/Lions_Are_Smarter_Than_I_Am
What inspires you? Everything. Usually really random things and objects. I was at a lecture in an old library one time and I saw a really cool window and thought, "hey, it'd be awesome to do a t-shirt with a cool window like that." I find the better designs I do are the ones that aren't forced, but just whims I get.
How did you get into art? I've always loved art. It's just been a part of who I am since I was little.
What would be your dream job? I'd love to work for a really chill but professional design company.
What are a few of your favorite websites? I love Threadless. I'm also addicted to twitter. http://www.smashingmagazine.com/ has also become one of my favorite sites in the past few months.
Any shout outs? First and foremost, definitely TeeFury! Thanks for giving me this awesome opportunity. I also have to thanks everyone who has given me support and encouragement with this design, especially over at Threadless! Special thanks especially to FRICKINAWESOME and bhoomika, who always cheer me on. Thanks, everyone!
