    Not many designs make me actually smiles and physically laugh to myself. This one did. It's cute and I think I'll get it. Not only because I like the idea, but also because I hope to spread a little happiness to those that may see the design while I wear it :)

    Is the text really that needed? It kind of ruins the joke and just.... looks ugly in the design. I would consider buying it if not for that.

    LOL I love their little faces and the whole sunny yellow + depressed blue = indifferent green! I think I just like the little smileys, but I'm a bit disappointed as well that it is on white.

    I've never seen a vesica piscis (intersection of two circles) referred to as an "indifferent peapod" - this is brilliant! Very, very funny in light of the fact that the v.p. has been revered as a religious symbol, is considered part of the mystical tradition of the Golden Mean, the secret traditions of Freemasonry, and on and on - I think I like this version much better!

    Heyyyyy this is awesome, finally getting printed :)

    I do like it better in the original off-white cream colour :)

    I'd say maybe the lines are superfluous. The words make it brilliant. Indifferent peapod is major lol :)

    Very nice work -- I see major influences from Milton Glaser, Seymour Chwast and Pushpin Studio. The man with the umbrella (Coencentric Downpour) is absolutely beautiful and VERY Glaser-like - would love that as a poster or even a t-shirt. Marvelous work!

    Also the text is needed on the shirt. It's the perfect font for this. I'd like to see this on a print and in an exective boardroom with someone with a pointer, pointing at it and saying, "We need to work on getting through to the indifferent crowd, as this chart clearly shows."

    I love this. I just wish you had included red, but that would be overdoing it though I guess. I love designs that incorporate the basic elements of art. Simple is good.

    Oh an unrelated to this shirt note, since we had a Kayne-hate shirt, can we get a Roman Polanski-hate shirt? I would buy like 8.

    of course it would. everyone knows what those circles are used for. we've used them in school, etc and it's obvious that when you mix two things you get something else. So what's between happy and sad? Indifferent. It's obvious. Putting the text down just states what we should be able to figure out on our own, explaining the joke to us.


    If you have to explain your joke, then it's not funny.


    I think the reason people say it needs the text is because of the fact that the word "peapod" is used, yeah we all know what a vinn diagram is but I think the fact that the artist calls the center a peapod is part of what makes it funny

    The idea of a random word as humor is honestly far below puns or crass humor for me. The shirt is perfectly funny as distilling the idea of a venn diagram into a very basic illustration of heh - eh - meow. Any mixable colors could work, these just happen to look good on white, creme, or any light color.

    But the use of the word peapod as the strongest point of humor in this design? Yeah, it's cute, but the only relevance it has to the entire design is the middle part vaguely looking like a peapod. It's completely separated from the joke involved with the faces. Maybe if the two circles were illustrations of two separate things related to peapods and then the center slice as an actual peapod I'd really buy into the whole "the peapod is the best part" idea. Hell, that design would honestly be a sure buy for me.

    However, unless I missed out on some huge cultural connection of peapods and humor, I can't see how just relating that a shape looks like a peapod without any kind of absurdity, satire, pun, or something makes it funny.

    He could've used oval or whatever, but c'mon, who the hell cares?

    I hate people who try to apply science to humor. Humor is not a science and does not need to make sense. At all. It just needs to be funny.

    I'd like to see someone try to apply science to a shirt about some dude farting, now that would be hilarious.
