These Asian drawings are wicked sweet and all, but I'm really not a fan of it being on my shirts..................

Too crazy for me. I like stylish but simplistic. Nice art though. :)

I like this stuff - the Asian theme may be common lately, but the design oozes cool, IMHO. Bought!

As for the kanji... From top to bottom - I think the first one is for 'chi', kind of? idk how to interpret the second one. THe third is for 'path/way'. The 4th unique character is for 'forest'. But I'm saying all of it as a Chinese person. Not sure if the meaning still holds in Japanese.

it's all a big mess to me.

i ordered your blazing eagle shirt on dA. took them a month to tell me that even though it wasn't sold out when i bought it, "It is now.".

Im going to look on the dark side... as much as I dislike Japanese designs... I wish it were Star Wars!!!! The Wolverine design on the side is completely fantastic, however.

Ok... There seems to be a lot of whining about the the Asian inspiration, or the dragon inspiration... but this is the first shirt I've ever seen where the Asian dragon is being slain. That immediately sets it apart from the rest for me.

But I won't be buying the shirt because there is just too much going on. It's a bit of a mess and that takes away from some of the awesomeness of the concept for me. Maybe if it was one dragon, one of the reds, and the samurai it wouldn't seem as messy to me.

I really enjoy the complex side art, but I prefer my shirts to be a little cleaner in design.

I really do like the design, I think it is beautiful. I think it is lost on the White shirt. I think that i darker shirt would make the image of the samurai pop more while still expressing the violence of the dragon being slain.

Wow, the best shirt TF's had in ages and ONCE AGAIN on a different colour for women. God that makes me so mad! I hate Sand - I can't wear it at all, it makes me look atrocious. I would totally buy this on silver (how rad would that be!), natural, white, or cream...why do you make me cry so often, TF?

TeeFury, I love you and all, but...your current model is great at modeling the shirts but terrible at showing potential buyers spots it might get distorted or hidden by the unfortunate art-bending boobs some of us have.

I love the design on this shirt but not knowing what it will look like on me is a little bit of a turnoff. :(

I think the key here is 'Asian-inspired'. Most of the characters don't even exist in Japanese, as far as I know. They are probably straight-up Chinese. (And someone above that knows Chinese already said what he thought they meant there.)

The warrior, however, is a pretty stereotypical ancient Japanese warlord. The dragon, having only 3 toes, is also Japanese. (Chinese have 5 toes, Korean have 4 toes.)

..bought, hope the size will fit. Your L size Ts seems to be fine in width, but a slightly longer (length)..will see.

The shirt color choices are very subjective anyway; if I was asked I'd say it's been over two months since guys had a shirt color that was decidedly better for the design. For this design in particular I prefer the sand, but neither is really great-looking.

Either way, the design is not bad. I just wish I could tell what exactly that samurai did to that poor dragon, or if they're just hangin' out like, havin' a blood party.

neither of the shirts are white. if you read the words underneath "colors" you might find that out.

While what you said is partially correct, the real reasoning for the number of toes on eastern dragons is their strength. People used dragons as symbols for their rank in society, the more toes it had the higher you were. The emperor's had 5, nobles had 4, general public used 3.

Also I think the shirt was great. I do agree with some of the other posters here that it does look a bit messy though. Other than that, great job.

As much as I LOVE anything asian, I feel likt the composition is a bit too busy. My eyes get lost in all the small parts, and have issues digging out the main design. :/ I find the same issue with the dragon on the side, but the other two are VERY well done. The one with the girl especially has just the right balance between positive and negative space.

I love the idea behind this one

The only reason I'm not buying this one is because of the coloring.

I'd actually like to see just the samurai himself in more glory, he looks so detailed! And it's thrown off by the big mess in the middle. Though I love dragons and fights and kanji, it just seems so thrown around. And the Samurai just looks like such a badass, but cast aside here.

Great concept behind the design!

The wolverine on the right seems a little awkward with his right hand a bit twisted, but that might be me. The girl on the right is very well interesting too, in a good way.

The design is freakin' gorgeous. I love it. Talented artist!

I'm a little sad to see the dragon being slain. In Asian cultures the dragon is a sign of good luck and prosperity. A samurai wouldn't dream of killing one. :(

As for the characters, the first one is a strange old version that's not used...ever anymore that I know of (気 is better and the currently accepted form), can't read the second one at all because of the blob in the middle, the third is fine I suppose as well as the fourth (forest--mori), but I don't see how a forest fits in. My guess is the characters were chosen randomly.

I wouldn't buy a shirt with kanji on it anyway living in Japan, but I'm very disappointed by this interpretation of a samurai and a dragon. No killing good luck please. T_T;
