About the artist
Words from the curator:
I'm pretty sure of all the letters except for "A". Can you guys guess the logos on this one?
Tell us about this design:
We hear the word democracy thrown around quite a bit. How America is a democratic nation and how we must spread democracy to the world, but we often forget that the US is also a capitalist nation and that whether you're a fan or not, it goes hand in hand with our political system. I included companies that highlight this idea including the most difficult to recognize, a company that lost $61.7 billion in 2008.
Tell us about yourself:
I'm a husband, father of three and self proclaimed expert on anything I can fool you into believing.
Do you own alot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite?
I have way more shirts than any one man needs. I had a great 'Legend of Zelda' shirt that used to be my favorite until it was re-appropriated by my wife as her own favorite shirt.
What inspires you?
Comic books, random image Googling, my son Logan and the ridiculous things he tries to trick me into believing.
How did you get into art?
I don't think I ever decided to get into art. I remember making comics for my fifth grade school paper. I've always enjoyed telling stories and creating art. I've just been fortunate enough to do what I enjoy and that means putting ink (digital or otherwise) to paper.
What would be your dream job?
Working from a spacious home office, drawing and designing things that inspire and challenge me.
What are a few of your favorite websites?
Any shout outs?
Katie, Logan, Gracyn, Nathan, and Magneto. Oh and, hi Mom.
