Words from the curator:
Laser Bread returns with a design showing how elephants never forget... to JAM!
What has been your most inspiring art experience?
Recently, the Jeff Koons exhibit I saw in Chicago last Summer. Specifically, his piece "caterpillar ladder" is one of the greatest things I've ever seen.
Do you own alot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite?
Yes I do. I love naively brilliant thrfit store tees. I'm drawn to shirts where it is apparent that the person who designed it didn't really know what they were doing, but the end result is really spontaneous and fresh. I have this green shirt that reads Herbie across the front and under the type is a crude drawing of an "egg man" running with a big smile on his face. I love that shirt, but it is almost completely see-through now. :(
If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
As a kid I would've used that money to build a crazy house with all kinds of trap doors and secret rooms. But now, I'd probably use it to start my own business. Actually no, I'd still use it to build a crazy house with all kinds of trap doors and secret rooms.
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies?
I liked them all, but cartoons were probably my favorite.
Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
I went through phases. I really liked Tom and Jerry and Droopy. I also loved the Flintstones and Scooby Doo. As I got older I was more into Transformers, G.I. Joe and Galaxy Rangers.
Do you have any interesting hobbies or tales of intrigue? Do tell!
Hmmm, tales of intrigue...I have several actually, but I'll only tell this one. When I was 12, a ghostly voice called my name out of thin air. The voice said "Broooock" in a whisper. I answered "Whaaaat?" in a whisper. My mother heard it too and she said, "Who was that?" It was a man's voice, but neither one of us recognized it. It was really creepy, as my mom and I were the only people around. It happened at my Great Grandmother's house in the middle of the day. My brothers used to call me The Gatekeeper, since the voice singled me out.

Unfortunately, yellow shirts are only for girls. This is a problem.

Now. Imagine in your mind a posh country club.

Side art is interesting. Seemingly random stuff that can make each viewer have his/her own take. Stick to what you're doing; it seems unique.

Why would it send the wrong signals in your state?
