    I am very, very upset by this. Jimi is by far someone I listen to for hours a day. I consider him to be far beyond anyone who has ever tried to touch music on a spiritual level. While I understand this is art, I feel that it directly discredits and makes a cartoon of the greatest musician of all time.

    I don't really get it. I mean I could understand it if it was someone from The Who (with their whole Pinball Wizard and Tommy and stuff)... but just seems like a weird mix with Hendrix.

    the concept is a little confusing to me and the style of the drawing seems kind of amateur,as if drawn by a small child, but by looking at your great side art you are obviously a better artist and you can do better. i have to say that i do like the color combo. really love the tentacle robot and the wino robot.

    To say that drugs demean Jimi Hendrix is well... it's honestly dumb. His drug use and that of his peers was an inseperable part of the culture he was involved in. I'm not saying his insane amount of talent came from psychedelics, but it's not something you can remove from his image. Besides, the image only vaguely resembles Jimi Hendrix and more fits the bill of just a random 70s arena rock guitarist and a period pinball machine.

    And really, this isn't the Queen or the Pope or someone's mother we're talking about. The guy isn't sacred. I'd think Hendrix would find this humorous, himself.

    Perhaps you should try to consider that this is a tribute to Jimi. The artist used his lyrics to create a visual representation of what he imagines when he hears them. I think that any attempt to convey what you think about when you hear a song should be regarded as art. I'm sure Jimi wouldn't be as close-minded to the idea behind this design, he would probably have interest in the fact that an artist was willing to take the time to express their idea of what his music is saying. Lighten up, I'm sure if you asked Jimi... or John, Paul, George, and Ringo (for another example) if they would be offended by somebody creating something that honors their talent, they would feel honored instead of disappointed. Can I hear an "Amen" from my fellow TeeFurians?

    Well, that's debatable. He's the queen or the Pope or someone's mom (metaphorically) to a lot of people. Personally, I don't think "Hey Joe you got a high score" is especially well written but whatever. I didn't like the last Hendrix shirt and I can't say I like this one much either but I'm happy that he's still on shirts this many years later in any case.

    I like the print as a whole though and would consider getting this on a different shirt brand; black and Teefury just don't mix well, imo.

    Hey guys, thanks for all the comments.
    This design is just meant to be fun, nothing serious. I'm not trying to ridicule Jimi, or anything, I just combined two things I really like and made it into a really random design.

    Well ok, I lied, JonBowVault is onto me. Does anyone have a big truck I could borrow? I need to bring these manitees back to the headquarters.

    your 'i feel' only applies to your opinion on whether or not it 'directly discredits', not to whether or not hendrix is 'the greatest musician of all time'.

    You're right. Thank you for telling me what I was thinking. I was confused all together. Its a shame they deleted the post about how this artist probably hasn't every before heard Hendrix because he won't turn off the DMB. Like I said, this is art. I can debate it. In no way did I offend the artist, so I don't know why some of you are getting your panties in a bundle over what I said.

This song had meaning to him. It was almost about himself. Look up Hey Joe at Isle of Wight. Tell me if the feeling he put into that song is in some way related to the cartoon you put on this shirt.

    Who cares if he wore a watch or not? I like his music, I don't know every single detail of his life. You really shouldn't look into the meaning of what I designed here, cause I sure as heck didn't. There is no deeper meaning, as you could have read in the description. I like pinball, I like Hendrix. I combined em.

    You seem to think he was holy or whatever. I just liked his music. You should chill out and don't take everything so freaking serious.

    Of all the aspect of this shirt the watch is the one detail you question! Not the smoke forming words, or the 'macaroni arms' with no elbows, or the pinball machine playing itself, or inded the fact he's half pinball machine, cos I tell you I haven't ever seen any of that stuff in his concerts!

    Someone needs to go outside and have some life! ;)
