ANNOUNCEMENT: Like we promised, we spent the proceeds from the last week's Collaboration tee and purchased some prizes that we've been giving out. To commemorate our first Flip the Nine promotional, we are having a contest for our Teefury fans.

We are giving away a Flip Mino Camcorder! (60 Minutes Black) Oooooo and Ahhhhh!

Just post the most creative photo(s) of one of our shirts in our Post Your Fury, Win a Flippy! thread found HERE

Be creative! Put one of our shirts on your pet dog or horse and photograph him, or climb to the top of the Sphinx in Egypt and get a photo of yourself, just make sure a Teefury shirt is in it.

Our panel of judges, Teevil, T-bird, Dead Bird (never has much to say), and the Teefury Staff will review the photos and then award one lucky winner the Flip Mino Camcorder.

We'll have other small prizes too so don't count yourself out!

    Awesome shirt & great work from everyone involved. I can see the target, but personally I think it looks more like a "Teevil-Eye" of sorts - if I were looking for something like that. Also, #30 is brilliant. Every good Dead Bird needs a GhosT-bird!

    Yay! Mine's #6 on a $6 shirt. Bought!

    At first I thought, "Woah that's a lot of Teevils!", but then I noticed the eyes of T-bird and Dead Bird. Sneaky Teevil went and painted his fellow birds lol.

    Ok first of all.

    Cool shirt.
    Anyway, great design. I'll definitely consider getting it since its only 6 and the price with shipping would be $8, a bargain if you will.

    How many more of these collab tees are coming out? Can we expect to have duels between artists on a particular design? I'd like to see that idea.

    Because I think 2 collab shirts on the same topic is getting dull. We have the Teefury Bird and Teevil. I think we're good. Lets do other icons :). Comment edited. Lay off the personal attacks.

    The layout is pretty sweet! It's like that record if you play backwards you will hear "BOW DOWN TO TEEVIL AND DO HIS BIDDING: BRING THAT ICE CREAM"

    @AirHendrix: There's 1 more collab tee coming, cos there were that many submissions when Jimiyo called for submissions, so they're not just gonna stop and leave the ppl in batch 3 hanging. That would be a travesty.

    Speaking of which I just had an idea and damn golly gosh I wish I'd submitted it earlier :P

    I dig too many of these to say any particular one! Great job!

    I thought one of your posts must have gotten deleted, melbel. AirHendrix seemed to be referring to something you said that wasn't there anymore. I've had the suspicion that basically any negative or critical comment has been getting the axe for the past week or two. There's been a dramatic shift in the comments. Almost as if only certain opinions have been allowed to get through. That's a total shame if that's the case.

    Thanks Scarah and Fuzzy... Ill admit I was a little extra mad because I had literally been awake for about 2 minutes before I read that. I just get annoyed because I get picked on a lot by people here and I dont really get why. But as long as I have people like you guys around I dont care what they think.

    @melbel - I think you get picked on because your comments are just there most days and are generally happy and cheerful. Then some get jealous that they aren't also happy and then they make snarky comments. That's the best I can figure anyway. And yes, I'd say anything negative is difficult for me to take on while having been awake less than 2 hours :)

    Melbel, don't take semi-trolling too seriously. I think the anonyimity (spelling) of forums still make people feel like it's okay to attack each other.
    Thanks for the comment in the other thread about Wiley and Hillary, though. They like having their fans. :) Wiley is such a ham when it comes to pictures.

    So excited to see this! It really is nice to have a print finally even if it's just 1/35 of a shirt. But still, really awesome. I love all the other birds on it...my favorite is the Thor one...number 1 I think...that one like, makes me love it. I may just buy this cuz it's so cheap...

    No matter what the design, black T-shirts with red printing always say "high school metalhead" to me. Regardless, I'm going to overlook that and pick this one up!

    I don't have a lot of regrets in life, but one is certainly having missed out on the first collaborative T-shirt. How cool would it have been to "collect the whole series"?

    Hey, maybe now I'll finally have something to wear with those ridiculous red pants. (...Impulse buy...)

    Personally, I love the idea of collab shirts and don't care if Tee Fury releases three or twenty of them. However, if collab shirts become a staple, artists will need to be compensated, even if that means sharing in a very small pot.

    Prize drawings are fine for the celebration if an anniversary, but do not work as compensation for members who contribute art to collab shirts, unless those who have not contributed are excluded.

    I have to disagree with GeriMars about the prizes... I think everyone should have a chance to win even if they didnt have their birdy on the shirt.. If theyre buying the shirt they should have a chance to win too since they are also contributing to the site, but just giving it money instead of art.

    if you don't want to. It's something done out of fun with
    other people that might let you get included in something Unique.

    That, in itself, is compensation enough.

    Yeah same here. Being on this tee is a HUGE reward for me, I'm just happy it got printed :) As much as money or something would be great I don't really need it. And it's one of those things that like, I do cuz I love the site.

    I agree with others. To have your work printed on a tangible product such as a tee (albeit maybe a little bit small...) is a great reward in and of itself. I'm excited to see the 3rd tee as well.

    Melbel, that's my point! (Do you just like disagreeing with me?) Again, *IF* collab shirts become a staple of Tee Fury (And I hope they do, because they're FUN. And, no, NOT every day; just once in a while.), there needs to be some form of compensation OTHER THAN PRIZE DRAWINGS for the participating artists.

    GeriMars, collabs are a TeeFury tradition. The idea is that anyone who wants to participate can, and that whatever profits result go to the community in some way. We've done this by making charitable donations or giving prizes to the community in the past.

    Since each collaboration involves many, many artists, it is an accounting nightmare to try to pay everyone a fraction of a percent of whatever a collab brings in. It's just not something we're equipped to do, and not something that most of our community is interested in.

    Collabs aren't something we've done with the intention of generating profits for individual artists, but anyone who is interested in making (non-logo-related) art with a payment in mind is welcome to submit artwork directly to our curators for consideration to print on its own :)
