Tell us about this design:

As a kid, I grew up with all of these shows and movies where the vehicles were so much a part of the story that they almost felt like another character.  Back then I tried building them with my legos, but I didn't have any of the good pieces (just a lot of the chunky block ones), so they mostly ended up looking like multicolor cubes.

Once I started doing t-shirt designs, I created this one as a homage to all of those awesome vehicles from my youth that  I hope sums up the total awesomeness of the era. And then it's eventual downfall. And then how it has been remixed, recycled and presented to us again as something new.

What's a day in the life of Ian like?

As a full-time freelancer, I typically start working at 9, which means that I wake up at 8:50, make coffee, walk into the next room and check my email.  Once my brain gets accustomed to the idea of being awake, I'll start trying to form coherent thoughts and actually answer them all.

The bulk of my work day is balanced between working on client projects, looking for more work for when my current projects are finished, and doing the boring, business side of things like invoicing.  With regular breaks for Facebook, Twitter and other internet distractions, of course.

I enjoy cooking, so we often have friends over for dinner out on our back deck during these long, awesome summer evenings.

Do you have any interesting hobbies or tales of intrigue? Do tell!

For several years, my wife and I did traditional black and white photography.  Now I'm working on the upright bass, with hopes to form a small jazz combo with a couple of friends.

As for tales of intrigue - mine are truly amazing and quite plentiful.  Unfortunately, they've all been classified so restrictively that I'm not even allowed to think about them myself, much less tell anyone else.  In fact, just reading this questions probably set off a number of governmental alerts.

Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.

Now these kind of questions are hardly fair - it's like asking which is better: the blue shells in Mario Kart or the stick piece in Tetris. I mean honestly, who could choose?

As you can tell, I'm terrible about picking a favorite thing, so instead, here's what I'm playing/reading/watching right now:
