Silver shirt doesn't look very silvery on this screen. Not sure I'd like a silver shirt any more than a white one. Do they actually look silver or is more of a pale gray/dirty looking white? Anyone ever tried dying one?
@pers:
It's not a white shirt, it's silver, which is like gray, minus the "heather" of heather gray. :P
I really like this design. It looks great on the T-shirt, but I think I can see this on a grey-black & white striped rugby. It'd look sweet on the back.
During the Teefury birthday I said how my favorite shirt that I never got was an earlier one of your work, and Teefury did the next best thing by printing something new of yours! I love it. I am really really low on cash so I will definitely have to think about this one for a while, but nice work.
The best thing is that it looks so much like a design of recognizable objects, you keep looking at it - and trying to read the text. Hard to actually take it in IMO. This is melting my brain. In a good way.
I must say, Lucas, I am definitely a fan of your color schemes in all of your artwork. Subdued, not overwhelming at all, and yet balanced in such a way to keep it all very visually interesting. Great work!
cool design. but omg, i would LOVE to have any of the side art on a tee...specially the turtle one and the robot sleeping xD, if any of that side art is available anywhere else let me know XD
I'm curious... since DBH doesn't seem interested in printing the other shirts in this series, are you going to submit them somewhere else? I know "extra" was up at Teextile for a week but I'd love to have a chance to purchase the whole series from a site that gives them a good home. Know wut I mean?
It looks like a knight helmet with real hair on top, like sort of emo hair, with some sort of portal or port hole on top of the head, and waves or beard below. Alien nationalistic look. Trippy and creative. But I love the thing on the side, which will make me look more at this artist.
I love this design but I'm not sure why. I'll be checking my funds first, but I believe I'll be buying this. It helps that the colors match one of my favorite pair of shoes.
Really interesting work. Your work has a bizarre flavor to it without being ultra saturated and beating the viewer over the head (that coming from me, lol..) anyway... I dig it. I dig the shirt too, moreso as an intriguing illustration (It's a helmet/face/robotthing people! Like in the movie Stargate! haha..) than a tee but it's still cool to look at. I might not sport one myself, but can appreciate this person's defined style and effective use of limited palettes.
It does look a bit like the tee bird.
It also looks like a squid.. or something.
Very interesting to look at, and well done. Not really something I'd wear though. Too many people would be staring at my boobies to figure out what it is..
I like this shirt. I enjoy things that make people wonder what you are wearing. I also really like the turtle dude on the right. Well truthfully, I like all of the ones on the right. Fun Stuff.
i like the silver. i'm glad we're trying to move away from the black & white tees. i'd pass up the coolest design on white or black cause i hate the tee color.
its like a cobalt silver color. i dig it, very vintage.
the design is really cool! the monster teebird freaks me out a little but i really like the overall design.
it makes me thing of that plant from "little shop of horrors" - feed me, seymor!
It's a cool design but I have no idea what it's supposed to be. O.o
Is that a foreign language up there? Not exactly a shirt I can wear at work unfortunately and as I only buy shirts I *can* wear at work, this will have to go. Though I love the fluidity of the curlies at the bottom. I love swirls!
Man, I hope I don't end up waiting too long and missing it then beating myself up for not getting it like I currently am for not buying the Free Form Argyle shirt.
BUT....that's most likely what's going to end up happening.
the more i look at this shirt the more i like it. also the sude art is fantastic. however, i really don't like the smell of freshly cut grass so I'm going to have to think about this one.
I just want to say this shirt doesn't appeal to me. Maybe I'm too stupid to get it. Anyhow......... I will say that I'll definitely be looking for future works by you. Because pretty much everything else in your portfolio DOES appeal to me. You definitely have skill and I'm totally bookmarking you.
Words from jimiyo: I don't know what it is but it's beautiful. Beautiful is an odd word for a tee design, but I'll still claim it. It will look even more awesome once it's printed. I eyeballed this design over 6 months ago, and I am glad tolagunestro offered it up recently.
Tell us about this design: It's a continuation of SciFi series that I've been doing since the second half of the last year. It's begun with my first featuring design here in Teefury, and I had another feature here with some of the same graphic elements. I try to portrait alien graphic elements, aiming to describe how would art, propaganda, and graphical elements, in general, look like in far future places. What's a day in the life of Lucas like? Fulfilled with art production. I work as a designer in an advertising agency in Brazil. I breath, eat, and dream design all the time. Even in times when I am not producing art, I'm prepairing myself to produce it. It' s a heaven for me actually, because then I'm able to practice my technical skills even when I'm not doing art itself.
What is your workflow like? (draw on paper? all computer? etc) To my personal t-shirt works, I draw with japanese ideogram pens and micropigment pens in A3 papers (more than sufficient to me for the details), right after sketching the art in some paper (wich is often a moleskine that I kill, murder by rudely sketching it). Then I scan it and correct some things, if necessary, with tablet. Then I vetorize it, and then I keep switching the art between vector program and photoshop to reach the exact colours I imagined for it.
What is your favorite piece of personal work? The next one, for sure! Is there anything you would like to promote? http://www.lucasdealcantara.com
Any shout outs? I'd like to say an uppercase thanks to TeeFury and to Jimmy for this featuring, and for supporting me, since almost the beginning of TeeFury history! Let's keep it in full throttle, guys!

I think this shirt color is perfect, I like the faded/worn look.
I love all of the side work. It has character... like they are cute without being too cartoony/girly. They are very creative.
Portfolio: LOVE slothzilla!! LOVE ChlorofloroHypnoHype!! I love too many to list! Your work is amazing.

Its an artifact wrapped in cloth yet its given a rare and important aspect by being on top of a pedestal.
Nice idea. Wouldn't wear it cause I got enough White shirts as it is. Hanes ftw lol.
The white makes it seem like I printed it. It should have been replaced by Indigo Blue or Red.
*Some other idiot said it looked like a ham. WHAATT?
