Derrick Castle, a scholar, a gentleman, and a fantastic aritst. One of Teefury's favored artists, by the TF Staff, and the TF consumers. Derrick has always brought the best designs to Teefury, and he's leveled up on this one in my opinion.

Tell us about this design:
 
You know, inspired by Traditional Americicana Tattoo designs, like a whole lot of my designs. I'm also a big fan of the British punk scene with the likes of The Exploited, The UK Bombs, The Damned and so many others. I wanted to fuse the two together and this just happened to be the result.

What's a day in the life of Derrick Castle like? (Do you freelance, work, etc etc.)
 
My day begins like most I guess, I wake up in the morning and drink a pot of coffee. I start my day by driving into town and work through the day at my full time job which is an inhouse graphic designer for the healthcare industry. I spend most of the day worrying what I'm gonna have for lunch. When my work day is over I drive home, eat some dinner, spend time with the wife and kids. Give baths and put the kids to bed, then the real design magic happens! I fix myself a cocktail, usually something like a mojito or a cahpriniah then start crankin out some bad ass designs! The rest of the night consists of drinking and artwork till I pass out.
 
I do a ton of freelance and one of the things I'm loving right now is, I got picked up as a freelance artist by a major merchandising company for the music industry so I've been able to design shirts for some of my favorite bands growing up like Poison, KISS, Alice Cooper, Ozzy, Def Leppard and others!

You have a choice: Delorian, Knight Rider, A Team Van, or General Lee, which one and why?
 
I'd probably go with the General Lee, cause I'm a country boy at heart. I was born and raised in the south and would love to have an old muscle car! But it would be awfully cool to be able to travel back in time!

Godzilla or Staypuft Man?
 
I like marshmallows;0)

Sushi or Steak?
 
sushi for breakfast and steak for dinner!

Shatner or Patrick Stewart?
 
Gotta go with Malcolm Reynolds even though he's not an option here. Mal is a total bad ass and I'm more of a fan of the sci-fi western!

How's my old stomping ground Nashville? Still pimpin your shirts out there? How the progress on your brand/identity been working?
 
Things are going pretty good here in Nashville, my clothing line is still pretty small but it trucking right along. I have a few of my designs featured in Nashville boutiques with plans to keep expanding. I have a both scheduled for our Nashville Oktoberfest which is going to be exciting! I've been trying my hand at some fine art stuff and have managed to schedule a showing for what I call my "Classic Bad Ass Collection" at a local Rum Bar here in Nashville called Rumba.
