Do you have a jobby job or are you a freelancer?
Yep! I work 40+ hours a week as a graphic designer and illustrator for a cartography business. I make a lot of maps and do illustrations for high school textbooks.
You are popular on Threadless and Designbyhumans. Do you get alot of
fanboy/fangirl email or stalkers? Any crazy stories?
Ha ha. Unfortunately no crazy stories. I get a lot of nice e-mails from college students requesting interviews to aid theses and whatnot. It makes me feel like a big man.. girl.
Five years ago, could you have imagined where you are today?
No! I always think of how funny it is that t-shirts have become such a big part of my life. I rarely even wore t-shirts before.
What would be ideal for you five years from now?
Truly ideally, I will be a dog owner. A dog owner who does more freelance work than job-job work.
What are you feelings on watermelons?
All I can say is watermelons have elevated my internet fame by a good 2%. They are alright by me!

Julia aka Sonmi, how does one pronounce your name? Can you drop some phonetic spelling on us?
My method as of late is to think of it as "sunny", but with an "m" instead of that second "n".
So, what's a day in the life of Julia like?
Wake up 10 minutes before I have to get to work, survive off coffee during the day, come home and fix a fancy dinner for me and my boyfriend (fancy = involving vegetables). Then I either catch up freelance, go to a show, play music, draw, watch LOST for the 10th time, walk around aimlessly, or nap. I've also recently started going back to school for fun, so sometimes I have night classes.

Yes, it's a slightly off-white shade- it should look very much like the mockup shown at the top of the page.

Yeah, but my monitor has been acting funny, and I can't decide if it's a slightly green off-white, a slightly tan off-white, or something else entirely. :)

It's more of a very light, creamy tan, I don't see any green shade on mine :)
