This is really creative. I really like the over all design, debating on getting it but unsure. Nothing wrong with it just not having alot of money to spend on things. XDDD
Any type of inspiration for the piece? Obviously underwater but I love how it seems she has 'two sets' of eyes. I'm sure it was the intended purpose. =3
it looks like i really beautiful design, and i love the girls on yellow. but i'm not sure about the headpiece on the woman (i usually avoid animal related tee shirts), or the amount of dark on the bottom vs. the top. i will have to think on it for the night.
either way, great artsy design. teefury you made me smile today!
If I wasn't getting a tattoo on Friday, I would be purchasing this. D: I really like this artist's work based on the shirt and the side pieces. I'll definitely be looking at the portfolio link!
See, I don't like this shirt, or the design, but look how happy some of you are. I'm thinking "What do they like in this?" but others thinking the opposite. People really are diverse, we should celebrate not liking a shirt when others do. :)
I have to admit I couldn't even TRACE something this good, so whats that tell ya ;)
I like how you can almost always tell who curated what just from a glace at the design...lol
Great pick, LOVE the artwork..dislike to be that guy bitching about colors but if the light yellow was available in men's then I would have bought this without hesitation
thejakeyl88 hit it so on the money, i'm almost shocked. the entire point of this site is a new shirt EVERY EFFING DAY (a lot of shirts here, people) and there is no way one will like it/want to buy it everyday b/c there are supposed to be a variety of shirts that speak to a variety of people. The incessant bitching that goes on about color and "why i will not buy this today" is so silly. The comments today were some of the best I've seen, and not b/c many were positive, but b/c they were respectful. :)
My own two cents: I really enjoy being able to see the evidence of the artist's hand in this, nice mark-making.
I love this and all of your other art too! Oh, and of course, Radiohead!
You rock, Lupencia (Luisa)!!! I wish I wasn't so smuuuuuurf pale and those colors looked good on me. It would be great to see some of your art on a red or dark blue, or maybe a black shirt... Your work is really creative and definitely a breath of fresh air. Also, you're great with a pencil!!! ;)
i really like the idea and the art :) the eyes are just too creepy for me...i'm easily spooked :\ haha, and i agree with melbel; it looks like she has a mustache! very refreshing to see this up today though! keep up the great work!
your art is incredible!! I love it. personally however id prefer that natural-ish canary-ish yellow color but what do I know.
Oh and by the way, i love the Where The Wild Things Are reference in the first piece of artwork on the right.
What to do with a million dollars. Yes. Art Supplies. Man, artists have some of the hardest times trying to just get by if they try to make a living. The supplies are crazy expensive. Making it more even difficult.
I must say, congradulations on getting so much positive feed back, this bunch can be pretty picky, and if you have the approval of the teefury posters, you must be doing something, no, pretty much everything right.
The design isnt really for me, but I can still appreciate it. It is very well done, just not my thing :)
Gratz again, I think whatever "it" is, you have it.
:)
I've very impressed with the way this design actually communicates the mood of being underwater. You can feel the weight of the cat-like head, but also feel relaxation and escape from the girl's face--almost like being intoxicated.
This is so gorgeous! The artwork itself is beautiful, and, while I'm not positive she's meant to be a Selchie, she at least reminds me of one enough that I can't resist buying. This makes three shirts within a week for me. X3;
I slept on it and decided I'd pick one up. Had the same question about "pulling it off as a guy" but I think I will wear it proudly ;D An awesome design, I like your style of work, with the overlaying drawing style, some nice stuff in your portfolio, happy to support your work!
I like the artist's work, however I probably would not wear this as a t-shirt. I would however like to have prints of some of the side work, especially the one of the child in the cat suit.
"The kid in the suit is Max from Where The Wild Things Are"
That makes perfect sense now, it reminded me of the book but I didn't want to make any leaps. I have read that book alot, as an adult and a kid. Makes me want the print even more now.
I think the image is interesting, but creepy. All I see is a woman with a dead rodent (or is that a dog?) on her head... and the fact that she looks peaceful that way is what really gets me. This is definitely a situation where I appreciate the technique though I don't really enjoy the image.
Very unique. Refreshing imagery. I'm still thinking about whether I should buy it or not, though. I'd definitely would rather have a design that looks drawn. Sometimes computer generated images can be too clean for my taste. Keep it coming.
So I've been checking this site for awesome tees for quite a while now, but never stopped to buy one (thanks to a lack of income these days)...UNTIL today. Awesome design! Beautiful. Gracias!
You can just hear the sounds of muffled voices in the bottom of the pool on a hot summer's day, gazing up towards the surface through painted drops of light. A daydreamy haze of tranquility and peace.
Tell us about this design:
I wanted to go back to drawing and away from the computer, I was tired of vectors and flat shapes and wanted to make something with texture and flow. Sometimes I forget to go back to pencil and paper, and this design is a reminder of that primal process.
Tell us about yourself:
I'm a colombian illustrator and graphic designer, I recently finished my MA in Art and Design at Loughborough University (UK), and am now back home working full time on lots of different projects. Also, I have two cats that are fun to chase around the house.
Name a few of your favorite things.
In no particular order: Chocolate, drawing, reading, noodle soup, videogames, sleep, Radiohead.
If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
I'd probably take the whole family for a trip around the world, and then I would buy art supplies, and a big house with a yard to keep cats and dogs and maybe a pony or a pig.
What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
Comics were hard to get here when I was little, so cartoons, I guess? and then movies. I read a lot of books and watched anime, anything by CLAMP was just the best. Disney movies were great too, we used to sing the songs with my sister.

Good: colors, some of the design, if simplistic is well stylized
Bad: can't see the white design, very well, and weird missmash of concepts.
Ugly: face outline and eyes of the womanly thing

This alternate 'style/artwork/design/theme' is what really sets TF apart from most T sites.
Love the pastel artwork on the pastel tee. Really Nice!
