I really think that the color combination here is pretty bad. The light colors of the design are completely washed out by the lightness of both shirts. Maybe that is just me and my eyes though...

Either way, it just ain't really my style, so congrats Olie!, but I don't like it, personally...

I like the imagery and idea of this design. It's nicely thought out in reference to the them. I think I might have added more color to the background, to make the thin lines of the images pop a bit more.

I always like themes dealing with "imagination".

Really liking this design. Nicely detailed but a simple concept. On another note, the "It's all about Betsy in Papyrus" shirt sounds hilarious.

My parents had one of those typewriters. I had to type many a school paper on it. You needed really strong fingers to press down those keys. I was soooo happy when they finally got an electric one. Geez I'm old.

Very creative , props for that, but no go for me tonite.

Loving this! Also, the lady with the cats...I'd buy that one for sure. I may have gone with a tad darker background, but I still love this design and concept. And TeeFury, has that little black kitty always been on the bottom of the site? Looks like it is up to no good, and I love it. Haha.

Absolutely love this design. I'd buy it, but I'm not a fan of white t-shirts on myself. If it were on maybe a pale gray with a darker design I would have snatched it up.

Like the design...HOWEVER, riddle me this:

Why doesn't TeeFury use American Apparel or some other decent shirt as a base?? I'm pretty much always a size Medium, but on TeeFury, I'm between a Small and a Medium. I would definitely order more shirts if their sizes were normalized to the rest of the internet-buying sites (Woot, Uneetee, TeeXtile, etc.). What gives?

wow sweet concept and art. :) I really like it, but unfortunately i do not like light color tees : / IMO this design would look bad a$$ on something darker, possibly a brown shirt and would have been a definite buy for me :). But really, props to the artist, i really like the design and concept here. Coolest design ive seen from teefury in a long time, too bad its on a light tee :/

I used to type my school papers on one of those typewriters. Worst part is if you make a mistake you're screwed. No erasing and going back. It's either white out or start over.

Like the idea of the shirt but it's not really me. I do like the artwork to the right. Especially the monsters one and the steampunk robots.

BTW, I have an old, heavy, metal Olympia ribbon typewriter that I've had since age 7. (I actually requested it for Christmas, when I was in the second grade. My mother bought it rebuilt.) I used it right up through my 20s -- for school, work as a journalist, work as a scriptwriter... To this day, I still pound when I type. And I go through a lot of keyboards because of it.

That's an awesome design, but the colors don't stand out enough for me.
The white shirt kind of fades them a bit too much.
It might just be my monitor, though. but I'll wait for another shirt.
I must say I'm in love with the walrus in the bowler hat on the side. :]

Its a nice shirt, but I would like to see a little variation in line width on the colored lines. As is, as soon as you take a step back from the shirt, all you can make out is the typewriter and the black overpowers all the awesome things coming out.

That Walrus is pretty sick tho, keep up the good work :)

I'm guessing the robots would have been hard to replicate on a tee, but I agree with people, that piece (and the top one on the right) are effing sweet! Groovy style. As far as this tee print goes, it's not for me, but it's clear you have "talent" haha

Sam Schuna (aka: olie!) has been one of my favorite Threadless designers for a long time. He is a master of multiple styles, with which he is always willing to experiment! Here he brings a whimsical play of linework and imaginative imagery, illustrating an epic tale that came from within typed keys.

Old timey typewriters are awesome, and this shows just a little glimpse of all the stuff that can come out of them with a bit of imagination.

I am currently a freelance illustrator/designer/pokemon master living near the Twin Cities of beautiful Minnesota, and I just put up my own website at www.samschuna.com

Name a few of your favorite things:

Sandwiches, my family and friends, riding bikes, vidya games, and fun stuffs.

Do you own a lot of shirts? If so, what's your favorite?:

Haha, in spite of how much I love designing shirts I really don't own that many. I have like maybe 8 t-shirts in my dresser, a lot of them are from the Goodwill, which is my favorite place to shop for clothes. My favorite is probably a black type shirt that just says "It's all about Betsy" in Papyrus font. I'm not quite sure what it's supposed to mean.

How did you get into art?:

I have always loved drawing, but I never really did it that much until high school, and then even more in college. I guess it helps a lot that my mom works in the art industry too.

What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?:

Probably comics/cartoons, which go hand in hand for me. As a kid I was HUGE into anime (DBZ, Pokemon, Gundam) and I would come home from middle school, quickly eat some ramen noodles and turn on Toonami. Nowadays I don't watch TV at all much anymore and I'm more into alternative graphic novels, although I still have a couple gundam models and pokemon figurines scattered around my room.
