Isn't this pretty much just like the FatMouse shirt TF put out a couple weeks ago? I mean, that one didn't have glasses and a hat, but it's essentially the same shirt.

Not for me this time, naturalistic animals (with or without accoutrement) aren't my style, really.

The Spock shirt I got had placement different than pictured (way far off to the side and not as high). Hopefully this one is better.

Jan, it's not your fault that teefury did a shirt with a polar bear smack in the front last week, similar to this shirt. Similar -- Only in the placement of the bear to the t-shirt, however. That bear was definitely not dressed to the 9's, with a bowler hat, a bow tie and a pair of reading glasses. That bear was definitely not classy like this bear. Let the record state that if I had tea with a bear, I'd like to have tea with this bear.

At first glance I was like 'a bear'. But after reading your awesome interview & perusing your diverse and super cool artwork on the side, I'm now a fan of both you and your very classy bear.

However, Teefury, after this classy act, lets stay away from the bears for like a month. Do it for the people.

No cyberpainter, when I was a curator for teefury I arranged a BRC series, cos they are awesome.

THIS SHIRT IS THE SHIZ. Now quit the bear moaning, get your bowler hat on and pop over to the UK for a spot of tea. Obviously wearing this shirt.

This is the first shirt from the over-hyped BRC that I actually like. Great job, Jan.

The bear looks amazing. It doesn't have a reason to be a classy bear, it just is. First Teefury buy since March. Honesty, I'm fine with bear/skull/bird/other animal tees, as long as they vary in styles. The slate color bothers me a little, though.

The color for the guys is kinda lame. Judging from the picture, the black on dark blue doesn't show up well. Works much better on the light blue.

First of all how did you enter the circle of awesome known as the Black Rock Collective?
Grayehound asked if I would like to be a part of a small themed group submission for Threadless. I don't think the group was named anything back then but as we got more people involved, we eventually took on the name of the Black Rock.

Tell us a little bit about your ‘BRC series’ design.
It's a bear in a sweater vest, glasses and bowler hat. He is pretty classy and likes afternoon tea.

Which BRC project has been the most interesting to you as an artist?
The card deck that we created was a fun project. It was great seeing how different styles could end up working as separate pieces as well as a unit.

Who is your favorite member of the BRC? (Don’t be shy, I’ll be asking all the others too ;)
I suck at picking favourites. Also, it's really hard to pick favourite peoples.

Which members of the BRC have you met?
I've met Julia, Priscilla, Phil, Joe, Jared, Jan Willem, Blair, Aaron, Josh, Rachel, Justin, Ross, Ian, Aled, Stef, Rob, Olly, Adrienne, Chris, Michael, Reilly and Kevin. And maybe others. Or maybe less than others.

Give us one piece of inside gossip on the BRC.
A certain somebody is a robot. Or more like, a certain somebodies. Also, drunk robots.

Do the BRC have a secret handshake, if so what is it?
The handshake is so secret that nobody remembers what it is.

What’s next for the BRC?
The future. More work, more collabs and more fun.

Which member of the BRC would you most like to collab with?
I think Aaron/Hogboy would be fun to collab with.
