Wow, check out Dan's work. It's made for print but this design translates very well into apparel design. It's a got the new car smell to it. Dan is fresh into college, but it's obvious he's already got a ton of talent, and originality.

Tell us about this design:

This is a design I made on my free time between classes and homework. It
is in part inspired by retro sci-fi designs from the 80's. I also
incorporated my liking for explosions of random geometric shapes. My
hope is that it will inspire other people to create art.

Tell us about yourself:

I am 18 years old and from New Jersey. I am currently in my first year
at the School of Visual Arts in New York City majoring in Computer Arts.
I like drawing, photography, street art, snowboarding, and ice cream cake.

I first got into digital art when a friend introduced me to Flash when I
was about 13. I started to make crude animations and put them online
where the feedback I received motivated me to do more. Soon I was
experimenting in other programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator and by
the time I was half way through high school I knew that this was the
direction I wanted to keep going in.

MAC or PC?

Both! Well, the computer I use now for most of my art is a mac, but I
could never reject the PC after all those years growing up playing
Commander Keen, Lemmings, and Sim City 2000.
