Words from jimiyo:
Teefury has been really lucky to have attracted some really awesome artist's lately. Ryan vs. Clark is one of them. How Radical is this design? Sweet colors, nice use of negative space, and it has some incredible pop to it, while maintaining wearable mildness despite it's obvious radness-icity.
Tell us about this design.
My favorite shirt growing up was for Ortho-Flex Saddles and featured a giant Pegasus on the front. I decided while sitting at my desk one night to make my own version as an homage to my favorite cotton tee. Thus the Pegasus was born. I always thought they were awesome imaginary creatures, like a little more masculine unicorn, and it makes a fun illustration.
What tools do you use to create art?
Pen, pencil, paper and a scanner. On the computer, I almost exclusively work in Adobe Illustrator. If I could only work in one program for the rest of my life that would be it.
Tell us about yourself.
I am a 25-year-old goof from the rolling hills of southwestern Ohio. I love art and illustration in all its forms, but my favorite has always been Mucha and Art Nouveau. I can be found most often in line at my local Starbucks, at my desk building websites at my firm, Real Art, watching old 80's movies with my beautiful wife, or playing Call of Duty. Are there any ongoing art projects you would like to promote? A couple shirt companies I am involved in by various means, Fibre Clothing (www.fibreclothing.com) and Shipshape Roolz (www.shipshaperoolz.com). I also have a little project I'm working on with my friend Geoff called We Are the Scenery which should be up and running soon.
Jack Bauer (24) vs Jason Bourne (Bourne series) vs James Bond (007)?
Daniel Craig's James Bond all the way. Jack Bauer would be better off as Billy Mays sidekick. BUY THE SHAM-WOW OR WE'LL ALL DIE! and Jason Bourne took 3 movies to figure out who he was. No competition.
Any shout outs?
Sure! To my amazing wife, Sarah, for supporting me always and putting up with all my time in front of the computer, everyone at Real Art for pushing me to always be better, and Jesus Christ for blessing me in more ways than I can begin to count.
