They're grrreat! -
A word from the curator:
Two flowers, each standing only by leaning on the other, try to maintain their footing even as death swirls behind them, waiting to pounce. Symbolic, meaningful, and most importantly a great-looking shirt.
Tell us the background of this design.
My goal was to end up with a main element that has an eye-pleasing, fluid motion but is also juxtaposed with some straighter, harsher elements like the rose stems. The balancing of the two was important to the overall concept. Death and Love play a large role in the message, but as with most of my designs, I prefer to leave it open to interpretation.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
How much I appreciate their support for artists like myself. It’s so cool that there’s such a strong community who visit these sites everyday to support amazing limited edition works of art.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
The secret to my awesomeness. Haha, just kidding…...it’s Mountain Dew.
Name a few of your favorite things.
My cats, screen printing, Garbage Pail Kid cards, Rock and Roll, Adobe Illustrator.
What are your feelings on pyramids?
Large and triangular.
Do you prefer rockets, monster cars, or submarines?
Hmm…rockets are pretty sweet. But so are monster cars. I’d like to see an event where they crash the two into each other while Dragonforce plays live. Who do I talk to about setting that up?
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Definitely one of the shirts I’ve printed for myself. It’s the Betty Grable design down to the right and printed on an American Apparel tee. The print is awesome and it’s wicked comfy.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
I’m not a gamer. I’ll play Guitar Hero or Rock Band and that’s it. As for reading or watching movies, I have to go with watching movies. Pulp Fiction is my all-time favorite.
I will say that David Sedaris is hilarious and everyone should read his books.
What inspires your work?
My life, other artists and music. I usually listen to a particular song over and over again while working on a design. I use the lyrics and mood of the song as my inspiration. This one came from Boys Night Out’s “The Anatomy of the Journey.” That’s a hell of a song…
Any shout outs?

But I LOVE the design on the bottom! If that were a shirt, I'd buy it.

Um, no again.
Not considering the subject matter, the composition is sort of off.
Top right design is awesome, though.

BUT THAT ASIDE, I love this! Especially the colors and the treatment of the rose petals. So pretty.
I'm broke though, so my opinion probably shouldn't count >.
