i just bought this shirt! i cant wait! very cool. and i actually love the powder blue. i would of liked a navy as well but the powder is fine with me :)
i just bought this! this is one of the better shirts they've put up in a while, way better than random monsters and smurf! i don't have any shirts this color, so i'll be glad to expand my wardrobe. i like your nintendo and farm drawings...funny stuff.
I don't really "get" the whole "sneakers: awesome on shirts" movement... I've seen so many shirts with just a pair of kicks on 'em, and I'm thinking "seriously? why?"
That said, if I were to wear any of them, this would be it. I enjoy how they're integrated into a quite wearable design. Just not my cup of tea to snatch up.
thanks for all the purchases and comments everybody. as its my first design i was a bit worried that i'd get slated so i appreciate all the good comments.
i looked up Guilherme Marconi moltenmich, i love his stuff and have seen it before, just didn't know his name
the trainers in the design are dc court which for some reason are the only trainers that seem to fit my wide feet properly
props to wotto as well for giving me the feature, much appreciated
thanks, also thanks to everybody who bought this tee. i did think of subbing a version of the farm wars design but wasn't sure if it could be printed because of the licensing. i anyone knows how this would work please let me know and i'll submit a version of it
I really doubt the farm wars tee would run into any copyright problems. And it's great. I don't know if I'd buy it as a t-shirt, but I have saved the image (sorry?). I would most definately be interested at least.
A word from wotto: This design really caught my attention when Neil subbed it. It is so fresh and cool. If your a hip hop superstar, a sneaker geek, an 80's throw-back, a street artist, a musician or a scoundrel then this tee is for YOU. Big it up for Neil Akoga and his awesome first design for us.
Tell us a little about this design. It's a homage to the bottom of my wardrobe. I'm a hoarder and have real problems throwing anything away. I seem to have accumulated a large number of pairs of Dc trainers and old audio equipment parts over the last 10 years. This paired up with the lack of space and shelving in my house means that I have these useless stalagmites everywhere made of old guitar leads, audio tapes and trainers in various states of destruction.
Where in the world are you? Well up until 2 years ago i lived in Manchester but I dropped everything and moved to Hereford. It's ok if nobody outside the UK knows where it is because nobody in the UK knows where it is either. It's a little city next to the Welsh border surrounded by fields and apple orchards. We have a one screen cinema and all the bus tickets are handwritten. It's like the city that time forgot but I love it, very laid back and peaceful.
What is your favourite medium? Digital definitely. Whenever I paint or draw in the real world I end up spilling stuff or getting coloured fingers. I still use sketchbooks for doodling though. Which superhero power would you like the most and why? Definitely flying as I'm terrified of heights, so if I ever did fall off something I could just fly away.
Who is the best villain ever? Darth Vader. I know it's the obvious choice but he's just so badd ass all the time, even though when he turns his head he has to turn his body, like an owl in a zipped up parka.
What was the last song you listened to? Crowquill by Circle takes the Square Favourite quote/lyric? It has to be 'as scary as bees with the heads of raccoons!' from Handsome Shoved His Glove by Horse the Band Who has been the best client you have designed for? Probably a mates band called Chairmen of the Bored, a pop punk band from Manchester. I did a t-shirt design for them and saw some guy in a shopping center wearing it, little things like that make all the hours sat in front of a computer seem worthwhile.
Who would you most like to collaborate with? If he was still alive I'd say Tony Hart as he's one of the reasons I love drawing so much. He was a childrens tv presenter in the UK when I was growing up. http://www.tonyhart.co.uk/ . Other than that it has to be Bert Monroy, i'd love to just sit next to him for a day and watch him paint http://www.bertmonroy.com/
How many t-shirts do you own? Over 60 although I only wear about 40 of them, I just can't throw them away. Which website do you go to everyday? It's a bit geeky but probably http://www.theregister.co.uk/ . They have some interesting articles and because I work as a web developer it helps to keep up with the latest technologies.
