btw, what was your art classes like?
is grammatically incorrect.
i'm sorry for being a smurf, but it really bothered me
i even made an account to QQ about it :(
This is kind of a cool design although the skull theme is really startin' to get pretty old. This isn't something I'd wear around so I'm gonna pass on this but congrats on getting your work printed :)
I absolutely love the technique but sadly it's a no-buy because of the subject matter. I know a lot of people really dig skulls, and I'm not knocking them, I just see too many of them.
This would probably be a for sure buy if it were a skull of another species. ;)
I love Skulls! I wear Skulls currently! Coincidentally, I HAVE a skull that is presently covered in flesh: mine! I can't get enough skulls! I NEED more Skulls! Skulls rock! They are inherent imagery to SEX DRUGS AND ROCK AND ROLL!!SKULLZ!SKULLZSKULLZSKULLZSKULLZSKULLZSKULLZSKULLZ!!!!
This would look horrifyingly wonderful on black; I'm sad it's not. The gray almost looks that cool, but I'm not digging the contrast of the outline on the white. I think it would look much better if it seemed melted out rather than stuck on there, which is what the outline makes it look like. I also can't stop seeing the Uchiha symbol on the top either, but that's just my personal, rather disturbing bias.
Not sure if I'll get this one. I like skulls, but the outline really ruins it for me...
I love the skull (very 'old fashioned'), but it looks like someone just got a little too happy with photoshop. Not feeling the artistic beauty and 'new age' combination. Sorry. And I was so looking forward to this one from the email.....
Although I agree with the users carping about skull T-shirts, I am much more likely to wear a skull if it is realistically drawn (as opposed to immature and cartoonish skulls), and this one has been well rendered.
However--and I am not sure whether this is simply the larger version of the image displayed on this page--but the outline looks awkward. I feel the bubbles and other curvy shapes are stylistically antithetical to the nature of a skull and death; the outline should be sharper and more jagged to give it the proper feel.
I'm not a fan of skulls (unless they're incredibly subtle), but this one is actually nice. I agree with whoever said that the image inside the artist's portfolio with this drawing on it would be better than this one.
Honestly I think the overall look of this is horrid... the stroke effect looks like something I would have done on Paint Shop Pro when I was nine years old. If I saw someone on the street wearing this, I wouldn't think that it was the work of a talented artist. I'm not sure who suggested the splatter effect thing to that extent, but whoever it is should probably stop putting in their two cents. Like I said, the artist's work is nice, but the splats ruin it so so so much.
I have nothing against skull tees, but this one just looks horrible. The drawing itself looks great, but like others have said, the drip effect ruins it.

Blunt and honest about an opinion that no one cares about.
To someone that has submitted designs on several occasions I believe my opinions is rectified.
Nice design, a little bored of skull shirts though.
@87Riots: I'm going to be honest, your grammar is weak. Ahh, I'm kidding. But seriously, acherry won, it's for one day, get over it.
I really like this, the splatter with the thick outline framing a painted skull makes for a unique look. It's definitely a cool shirt, and I am admittedly a fan of skulls. It does look better on the white, but I look dreadful in white.
Not digging this one so much. I really like the art behind it but I don't think the splotches/bubbles or whatever they are work well with the detail of the skull. In my opinion, the artist has alot of talent, it just was not displayed correctly with this design.
I am thoroughly impressed. It is nice to see an "art student" artist on here!
PS: i had a professor/grad student get emotional over one of my projects that was a black box with a bondage ring in it. You never know what those craze art department people do!
This blotchy pattern thing reminds me of somthing....maybe Creepshow? Heavy Metal? Very familiar. But great illustrations the well rendered and interesting to boot. Smoking lady reminds me a little of the guy who drew Alien.
I like the shirt, however I don't like wearing a lot of skulsl simply because from the perspective of a spiritual person like myself, it's hard to condone the celebration of death, and that's what skulls represent to me (Jolly Roger, anyone?)
Congrats on making it to the fury though!

I did not understand anything you said in this post.
About the guy who said there should be a lot of shirts that could out-do this, I agree with him. A cut-out of a full image with a thick stroke around it? That takes like two buttons on photoshop. And it's not even particularly interesting. That being said, wtf. The actual ART for this shirt is great. Why not just submit it as a skull shirt without the goofy overlay? I don't even wear skulls (nor do I smurf about their abundance), but I'd probably totally wear that. And the guy's other art is great too. That seems to happen often on this site, but this example really struck me because of the particularly lame "bubbles and outline" thing, as compared to that other great artwork. That's the smurf that people want to be wearing on t-shirts! I promise you.
SKULLZ? C'mon TeeFury! Perhaps if you stopped skull-bombing your customers for a little while, down the road we will likely to give an accomplished piece like this, the recognition (and business), it deserves.
Word from jimiyo: Little is known about Adrian Cherry. A two line email came through with an image link, and a link to adriancherry.blogspot.com. I clicked, and that was all that was needed. The images spoke for themselves. Great stuff!
Tell us about this design. in the visual arts building of the college i attend there's a (somewhat) complete human skeleton- real not fake. she's usually tucked away in the corner of the drawing studio, secured in a cheaply-made plexiglass case. for some reason, over the years since i left art school, i still go back to draw her. this is one of those attempts. little is known about her by the surviving staff. my guess is that she was an elderly woman of short stature. my friend believes she lost her teeth in an unfortunate ---- --- accident, which probably lead to her death. i think she's onto something.
Tell us about yourself i'm an art school dropout currently pursuing a degree in the wonderful world of business. i'm also living the dream as a govt. employee. (i'm pretty sure that means im stuck in the earthly equivalent of purgatory right now). when not at work, school, or studying, i like to spend my free time trying to forget those 3 things...that would be where the art stuff comes in...and sleepage- good, good stuff.
Are there any ongoing art projects you would like to promote? :( sadly, not at the moment.
how old are you BTW? 25
what was your art classes like? the classes were cool, messy, and uncomfortably intimate. as for the fellow students- i probably lucked out since it was a community and then state college. didn't have much in the way of pretentious wannabes for peers...instructors though. never saw anyone get choked-up over a small, white, paper box with a penny in it before art school.
what would be your dream job? to be a free-lance illustrator backslash l'artiste de morte.
what do you hate? or if you are a lover, what do you love? i love frolicking...
do you enjoy reality TV? (shudder) no. they don't make showers hot enough to wash that kind of filth off. (zing).

Looks like the shirt is melting away.
But, I don't like the contrast between the incredibly realistic skull, and the cartoon-ish bubble-y border.
