  • Logisticzsaid 163 weeks ago

    awesome!
  • Lamaksaid 163 weeks ago

    Nice splotches.
  • tlehsaid 163 weeks ago

    no m0ar skulls.

    btw,
what was your art classes like?
    is grammatically incorrect.
i'm sorry for being a smurf, but it really bothered me
i even made an account to QQ about it :(
  • rahmer81said 163 weeks ago

assuming the "---- ---" accident means bj accident....that's pretty funny!

    ...not my style though, sorry.
  • eludingsunsaid 163 weeks ago

i wish the girls wasn't white.

the last skull on the right would look fantastic as a green shirt!!!!
  • evilbreadsaid 163 weeks ago

I'd have liked it more if it showed more of the skull. I don't like the drip effect.
  • robbieleesaid 163 weeks ago

I like the stroke around the edges of the drip. I don't think I've seen that before.
  • Teknikassaid 163 weeks ago

This is kind of a cool design although the skull theme is really startin' to get pretty old. This isn't something I'd wear around so I'm gonna pass on this but congrats on getting your work printed :)
  • Omnitariansaid 163 weeks ago

How many ink colors are in this print? Unless it's using one of those magicpants simulated processes?
  • gravionGRsaid 163 weeks ago

Wth is that chick smoking a cigarette / illicit cigarette? (Rhetorical question.)

I can't stop looking at it. It's hauntingly, horrifically entrancing.

Despite the fact that I don't really think wearing skulls is cool, I really like this design. Bravo.
  • stablercakesaid 163 weeks ago

I absolutely love the technique but sadly it's a no-buy because of the subject matter. I know a lot of people really dig skulls, and I'm not knocking them, I just see too many of them.

This would probably be a for sure buy if it were a skull of another species. ;)
  • Eppstersaid 163 weeks ago

    I LOVE this.
  • daveconreysaid 163 weeks ago

very cool, but alas, no more skulls for me.
  • Amagoisaid 163 weeks ago

Your art is beautifully grotesque and dark. I ADORE it.
  • matt2koolsaid 163 weeks ago

i dont think i've ever made a "mean" comment on tee fury, but this is boring. just a skull?
  • TheFlorksaid 163 weeks ago

Guess what, i got a fever! and the only prescription is MORE SKULLS!
looks like a live another day!

the skull is awesome, i don't like the bubble border though, i think the original picture in the blog would have been better :-D
  • Amagoisaid 163 weeks ago

I'm also really liking this simple little piece from your portfolio. Would buy that on a shirt any day. :)
  • 87Riotssaid 163 weeks ago

I'm going to be honest; this is weak. I am sure there are better artists submitting designs that can most definitely out due this.

Sorry to be blunt; but I am just being honest.
  • logotronsaid 163 weeks ago

Too many skull T Shirts at Teefury I think.

I wonder who wears skulls in public. Not me.
  • 8166said 163 weeks ago

I love Skulls! I wear Skulls currently! Coincidentally, I HAVE a skull that is presently covered in flesh: mine! I can't get enough skulls! I NEED more Skulls! Skulls rock! They are inherent imagery to SEX DRUGS AND ROCK AND ROLL!!SKULLZ!SKULLZSKULLZSKULLZSKULLZSKULLZSKULLZSKULLZ!!!!
  • kuh_373said 163 weeks ago

This would look horrifyingly wonderful on black; I'm sad it's not. The gray almost looks that cool, but I'm not digging the contrast of the outline on the white. I think it would look much better if it seemed melted out rather than stuck on there, which is what the outline makes it look like. I also can't stop seeing the Uchiha symbol on the top either, but that's just my personal, rather disturbing bias.

Not sure if I'll get this one. I like skulls, but the outline really ruins it for me...
  • suitedkingssaid 163 weeks ago

Ordered one! my first teefury shirt.
  • SemiArtsaid 163 weeks ago

    8166- lol!
    Little enthusiastic, hmm?

Cool design! I like "skullz" too. Love the outlined drippies!
  • Digifrekesaid 163 weeks ago

I love the skull (very 'old fashioned'), but it looks like someone just got a little too happy with photoshop. Not feeling the artistic beauty and 'new age' combination. Sorry. And I was so looking forward to this one from the email.....
  • Digifrekesaid 163 weeks ago

REALLY wish they would print that skull on the side, though!! (Just make sure not to put it on a bright pink shirt or something!!! >.
  • Dusty Slumbersaid 163 weeks ago

Although I agree with the users carping about skull T-shirts, I am much more likely to wear a skull if it is realistically drawn (as opposed to immature and cartoonish skulls), and this one has been well rendered.

However--and I am not sure whether this is simply the larger version of the image displayed on this page--but the outline looks awkward. I feel the bubbles and other curvy shapes are stylistically antithetical to the nature of a skull and death; the outline should be sharper and more jagged to give it the proper feel.
  • marshalmarveloussaid 163 weeks ago

    very nice design.
  • heymanirocksaid 163 weeks ago

    skullz for the lulz

    te gusta un poco
  • Storminksaid 163 weeks ago

Sorry but I am avidly against using the stroke feature.
  • Olechkasaid 163 weeks ago

Stormink - are you referring to the photoshop filter? I think this was drawin, it doesn't look like a filtered photo to me.
  • Chelliosaid 163 weeks ago

I'm not a fan of skulls (unless they're incredibly subtle), but this one is actually nice. I agree with whoever said that the image inside the artist's portfolio with this drawing on it would be better than this one.

Honestly I think the overall look of this is horrid... the stroke effect looks like something I would have done on Paint Shop Pro when I was nine years old. If I saw someone on the street wearing this, I wouldn't think that it was the work of a talented artist. I'm not sure who suggested the splatter effect thing to that extent, but whoever it is should probably stop putting in their two cents. Like I said, the artist's work is nice, but the splats ruin it so so so much.
  • Soccerfun88said 163 weeks ago

Coming from a non-artist, who doesn't know what the hell a stroke effect is, the idea is awesome...
Looks like the shirt is melting away.

But, I don't like the contrast between the incredibly realistic skull, and the cartoon-ish bubble-y border.
  • Captain Itesaid 163 weeks ago

Lucy? Named after the fossil of A. afarensis discovered in Ethiopia?

    If so, nice touch.
  • Chelliosaid 163 weeks ago

Captain Ite-- That's what I was thinking!
  • cardinalgoldsteinsaid 163 weeks ago

Yech, a skull shirt. And not a very well done one, at that...
  • noolvidarsesaid 163 weeks ago

I don't like skulls, They remember me that someday I will be one of them..
  • Lashysaid 163 weeks ago

I have nothing against skull tees, but this one just looks horrible. The drawing itself looks great, but like others have said, the drip effect ruins it.

Blunt and honest about an opinion that no one cares about.
To someone that has submitted designs on several occasions I believe my opinions is rectified.
  • agentfiggysaid 163 weeks ago

Nice design, a little bored of skull shirts though.
@87Riots: I'm going to be honest, your grammar is weak. Ahh, I'm kidding. But seriously, acherry won, it's for one day, get over it.
  • Aurorisaid 163 weeks ago

I really like this, the splatter with the thick outline framing a painted skull makes for a unique look. It's definitely a cool shirt, and I am admittedly a fan of skulls. It does look better on the white, but I look dreadful in white.
  • jecrtsaid 163 weeks ago

I'm not sure I get the "I don't wear skulls in public" comments. What does that even mean?

I think the rendering is great - very nice!
  • zchlovesbeersaid 163 weeks ago

Not digging this one so much. I really like the art behind it but I don't think the splotches/bubbles or whatever they are work well with the detail of the skull. In my opinion, the artist has alot of talent, it just was not displayed correctly with this design.
  • Reijnsaid 163 weeks ago

I am thoroughly impressed. It is nice to see an "art student" artist on here!

PS: i had a professor/grad student get emotional over one of my projects that was a black box with a bondage ring in it. You never know what those craze art department people do!
  • lemcosaid 163 weeks ago

This blotchy pattern thing reminds me of somthing....maybe Creepshow? Heavy Metal? Very familiar. But great illustrations the well rendered and interesting to boot. Smoking lady reminds me a little of the guy who drew Alien.
  • wottosaid 163 weeks ago

nice, I like me some skully
  • HandsomexPoisonsaid 163 weeks ago

I like the shirt, however I don't like wearing a lot of skulsl simply because from the perspective of a spiritual person like myself, it's hard to condone the celebration of death, and that's what skulls represent to me (Jolly Roger, anyone?)
Congrats on making it to the fury though!
  • Vidoxsaid 163 weeks ago

I was totally going to buy this one until i saw the freaking girl shirt is in white. /Sigh.
  • Dusty Slumbersaid 163 weeks ago

"I like the shirt, however I don't like wearing a lot of skulsl simply because from the perspective of a spiritual person like myself, it's hard to condone the celebration of death, and that's what skulls represent to me (Jolly Roger, anyone?)"

I did not understand anything you said in this post.
  • Muntoesaid 163 weeks ago

I love the anatomy of the skull and the shirt is cool, but this is not something I would wear.
  • jthanesaid 163 weeks ago

About the guy who said there should be a lot of shirts that could out-do this, I agree with him. A cut-out of a full image with a thick stroke around it? That takes like two buttons on photoshop. And it's not even particularly interesting. That being said, wtf. The actual ART for this shirt is great. Why not just submit it as a skull shirt without the goofy overlay? I don't even wear skulls (nor do I smurf about their abundance), but I'd probably totally wear that. And the guy's other art is great too. That seems to happen often on this site, but this example really struck me because of the particularly lame "bubbles and outline" thing, as compared to that other great artwork. That's the smurf that people want to be wearing on t-shirts! I promise you.
  • atomicchildsaid 163 weeks ago

    awesome illo
  • curb1510said 163 weeks ago

SKULLZ? C'mon TeeFury! Perhaps if you stopped skull-bombing your customers for a little while, down the road we will likely to give an accomplished piece like this, the recognition (and business), it deserves.
  • lcostl1said 163 weeks ago

I am not into wearing skulls but I love this shirt. Very well done, beautiful work.
  • lcostl1said 163 weeks ago

It doesn't have that I'm-getting-a-skull-tattoo-to-rebel-against-society feel that has gotten cliche.
