Words from jimiyo:
It's great to see artists transition from traditional media to shirts. You can usually distinguish the designers who have a little more experience with pencil and paper than the ones that don't. Their designs have a little more special sauce, and are much more illustrative than usual. This one certainly fits that mold.
Tell us about this design.
This is one of my first 100% digital designs. It was drawn in black and white with a wacom pad (you can find the original version somewhere in the forums).
Tell us about yourself.
My name is Olga and I am 25. I am originally from Ukraine; moved to the U.S. in 1993. I'm fluent in Russian and Spanish, and rusty in Ukrainian. I will be a licensed pharmacist this summer. I am freakishly strong for a girl and enjoy arm-wrestling.
You have some awesome portraits and drawings, how long have you been drawing?
I am self-taught and have been drawing since I was about 5 years old. I have always enjoyed drawing portraits, and prefer to use graphite pencils on smooth bristol paper. About a year ago I tried photoshop and moved into t-shirt design.
Any tips for aspiring artists?
Always have paper and pencils with you - you never know when inspiration hits!
Imagine House M.D. is having a show finale! Should Cuddy hook up with House, or Wilson?
Ooh I've been thinking about that lately. Since she's adopted a baby now, hooking up with Wilson is the safer choice. But itís obvious that she really has the hots for House...I donít see why she canít have BOTH!
Any shout outs?
To my family and friends, and my boyfriend who introduced me to the idea of putting my art on t-shirts!
