A word from the curator:
Reality is far too bland. This design shows the world as it should be, with myths and legends lurking around every corner, expanding your perspective and adding mystery to the everyday.

Tell us the background of this design.
This was originally a submission to shirt.woot for a Western themed derby contest. I liked the idea behind it so I tried it out at Threadless and it scored fairly well, but didn’t go to print. I did a bit of touch up work, and here it is.

What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I’m a character designer and artist at a game company in the Seattle area. I’ve mostly been involved with shirt.woot, but am trying to branch out to other sites and try some new things.

What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
My home address, place of employ, and social security number.

Name a few of your favorite things.
Time with my family, time to myself, good food, writing, drawing, reading, games, having a job.

What are your feelings on go karts?
I’m cool with them.

Do you prefer creating something, discovering something, or improving something?
I prefer creating something. I don’t believe the adage that there’s nothing new under the sun. There’s always something that hasn’t been quite done yet.

Old west cowboy vs. space cowboy: who would win the battle?
A space cowboy can fight in both space and on the prairie, but an old west cowboy would freeze to death in space. Advantage space cowboy.

Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
I really like wearing “Iceberg, A Head!” by soothedbyrainfall on shirt.woot. It’s extremely clever, easy to wear, and probably gets the most positive comments of any shirt I own.

Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Normally it would be watching a good movie, but right now it’s gaming as I just got a PS3. Fallout 3 has sucked my life away.

What inspires your work?
I think I try to make most of my work feed off a concept. Coming up with the idea for a shirt is the really fun part for me, the rest is enjoyable busy work.
