@fairnymph banana is def better than silver for this shirt, especially towards the middle where its lacking some color on the silver.
but i might have to put that aside and get this anyway because its so damn awesome. this is the kind of shirt i would love to wear to like a Portugal. The Man concert. if tee fury just alternated between something like this and something really simple, but equally original, all would be right in the world.
Could anyone else not get through to the website the last two days? I was going crazy being deprived of TeeFury for 48 hours. Thank god the shirts I missed didn't truly interest me.
This one, however, does. Even though it is batshitcrazy. However I'm running out of both money and space in my dresser for shirts (seriously). LOL.
Massive amounts of awesomeness! Being a huge scifi fan I had to pick this up.
As to the color comments, while I am not a huge fan of banana, and therefore am glad the guy's shirt was not on banana, I do agree with sfarbota that the banana lends some much needed color to the center of the design. Regardless I am looking forward to receiving my silver one.
Bravo on the print, nice to see some truly inspired work on here from time to time.
Now, I think THIS shirt is original and fun.
The idea is original, the mixture of photography with drawings works perfectly and there's a humoristic kind of message to it.
Yey!
wild concept --- though the triangle/pyramid on the forehead kinda creeps me out for some reason lol - not a buyer but def. a cool looking idea ---kudos
This makes it three fierce tees for three days in a row - kickass art like this is very hard to resist. Actually I like the banana for this; The others are right, it's a better complement than the silver, and after all Spring is sort of on its way so why not offer us sunshine colours? I love this illustrating old photos thing, and this is one of the best I've seen - knowing it's Jules Verne gives it a whole other dimension. Awesome, well done Luke.
I LOVE THIS SHIRT. I'm buying it :)
I don't know why so many people hate the banana. It's finally a color that doesn't make pale people look like they hate the world. We needed some happy colors for once.
I'm so glad that we finally have some truly inspired art up here. Lately it's all been kind of strange for me, and kind of blase. Fabulous work.
I love everything in this design except the pyramid on the forehead and the intestines. I'm just against wearing viscera on a shirt - weirds me out. Great style, though.
WAY weird. I don't think I could be taken seriously wearing this shirt by myself or others. I can't think of any suggestions that would make me like this design really, not my taste. Just sayin.
Purchased this shirt & got a large this time. I usually order medium shirts, but it seems like they always end up shrinking quite a bit in the washer/dryer. Kind of wishing I'd have ordered 6 large random shirts instead of the 6 mediums...guess I'll have to make sure not to be a tard and leave em' in the dryer too long.
I should string up a close line this year when the weather gets nicer...but then it seems like it makes your clothes all stiff like which is not cool. Do they make fabric softener for drying clothes on clothes lines I wonder? meow, someone would just still my whole wardrobe (jeans and tshirts) anyways. Wonder if you can dry clothes in the microwave without shrinking them...
i love it even more irl than i did on the site. the girls version of this looks AMAZING, guys! Great job! this is already entering into my heavy rotation.
Luke sent me so many awesome designs! I might have to go against my gut and eventually go with all the other designs, even though they aren't the typical type of designs that I think some of ye ole TeeFerocious members would fancy. We'll see. In the meanwhile, how bout this tasty treat?! I love that its a very smart design. ART!
Tell us about this design:
It's the 'Father of science fiction' Jules Verne, sitting on a bench, daydreaming away. Behind the glaze of his eyes he dreams of sentient balloons, paddle driven underwater craft and spacecraft manned by a chimp called Henri. What a plum! Its said that for many years Verne's writings were seen as being below intelligent adults, i often feel the same about my work, and all the better for it.
Tell us about yourself:
My name is Luke Drozd, i live in London and i make things. Lots of things. Lots of different things. Some are good, some are not. Etc.
Are there any ongoing art projects you would like to promote?
I'm a bit of a compulisve maker so from the time of writing this to it being seen by the world, things may have moved on to a point im not yet aware of. There are, as ever, a variety of things in the pipeline so pop over to Lukedrozd.com or send me an email if you want to know whats going on. There is also the Gigposters.com book coming out soon which features some of my work as well as a host of other swell arty types from round the globe and more can be read about that at http://www.gigposters.com/book/
Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years with your art career or other?
I guess i just want to continue to make things i love, whatever that may be or mean, without worrying too much about where they fit in the grand scheme of things. I hope i will be in a place where i am still challenging myself and enjoying every minute of it. I would also like to have made some sort of toy by then. Everyone loves toys... You win a million dollars. How would you spend or invest it?
I would buy lots of erasers, i can never find one when i need one. It makes me really angry, unfeasibly so. I would then commission someone to make a sort of holster for them so they be permanently to hand. I'd also buy two big cakes, one for me and one to share. What's your opinion or lack of on the possible Apocalypse of 2012?

This design is way too busy/cluttered/disjointed for me, regardless. But still, on principle, silver >>>> banana.
