that poor white tail DEER would be offended.
having shot a few of each of the afore mentioned ruminant animals, DEER would be the closest to that design.

Have lived and worked outdoors in the CA mountains - saw lots of female and baby deer among other wildlife. No male deer tho (or whatever they would be called).

...I have no idea how a moose even came to mind....unless, maybe, the moose is the only antlered creature you're familiar with since they're all over your clothes...thanks Abercrombie

Niiiice. I've been checkin this site for a few weeks now and this shirt finally made me sign up.

@necrophyte the "less than" symbol is also the beginning of HTML tags so it probably didn't work because it read everything you typed as an incomplete tag.

hey everyone, thanks for the comments! the -ahem- deer illustration above was on DBH till about a week ago, and now a different colored with glow in the dark eyes version is available in my ETSY store.

The fact that I have been unemployed, JUST got a new job and thus have no extra scratch and cannot buy this breaks my frickin' heart to peices. Actually, ALOT of the shirts that have been up during the last two weeks of my unemployment have been spectacular and it's been making me MAD.

I first saw scumbugg's work at DBH while voting on entries. I was really impressed with his illustration skills, and fortunately he responded when I emailed him to consider submitting to Teefury. I recommend perusing his portfolio, lots of good stuff in there. Snag one of these cool shirts too while they are available!

Tell us about this design.

I grew up in a tiny town in the middle of America, far from the coasts or any cultural epicenter. This piece is partly a reminder to the big city folks that amazing things still exist out here, despite how bleak things may look from the interstate. It is also simultaneously metaphor for me lashing out at my hayseed roots in frustration, wanting bigger and better things.

Tell us about yourself.

I live in Columbia, Missouri (a slightly larger town in the middle of America) with my girlfriend and a cat. During the day, I cook Thai food. At night, I run a small startup etsy/myspace based clothing line in which I print everything myself by hand, do printing and design work for bands, and drink Stag.

Are there any ongoing art projects you would like to promote?

I’ve got my fingers crossed for my submission in the Fleetwood Mac contest over at Design by Humans. (http://www.designbyhumans.com/vote/detail/42659)
My clothing line over at Etsy. (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6035087)
And I’m always posting new stuff on my DeviantArt page (http://scumbugg.deviantart.com/) and myspace page (myspace.com/scumbugg) as well as accepting freelance work.

Where would you like to go with your art?

I’d like to quit the day job. Like everyone else, I’d like to live comfortably doing the artwork that I love.

You win a million dollars. How would you spend or invest it?

Im the kind of person that would say I’d invest it, but wind up blowing it all anyway. I would probably spend it all on a dinosaur skeleton or something. But I guess that’s kinda like investing in a way…
