A word from the curator:
The hero of the story takes centerstage, determination in his eyes and nunchucks swirling between his hands. The music swells, the camera zooms in.... and without warning there's a splash of gore, a severed hand, and hopes dashed. It's a moment made for the movies, and a shirt made to wear while watching them.

Tell us the background of this design.
I was a huge fan of Kung Fu movies when i was a kid…aarghh  what the hell, I still am :) (is not a shame, right?) so this is my tribute to those funny fighting movies

How did you get started designing t-shirts?
After 3 years of painting in an italian studio, I saw an ad in the local newspaper "the largest printing company in Europe need a graphic designer". I had on my PC a pirate version of photoshop but i used it just to resize photos and apply filters so i had no idea about graphic softwares but i took the shoot and i sent my resume to them. After 2 weeks i had a full time job as a graphic designer thanks to a girl  that worked there (www.hyperhyphen.com) who said "so what if he doesn't know photoshop and illustrator, at least he can draw, i will teach him the softwares". I learned a lot and i "specialized" in t-shirts graphics. This summer i quit my job because i wanted to work freelance.

What advice would you offer to aspiring designers?
Work a lot and be patient you will not be the best overnight and you will not be able to buy a Ferrari very soon. Don't try to be the lonely mysterious guy, join a designers community, its a place where you can learn a lot and meet people like you. You will spend a lot of time in front of your screen, don't forget about your body (exercise, run, skate, swim  :) ) you need to be healthy!  :)

Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
I have a very old t-shirt which i stolen from my brother. It's a black t-shirt wit Borusia Dortmund logo.

What was your favorite as a kid: comics, cartoons, or movies? Was there a specific title you liked most of all?
Batman all the way
