aw mannnnn.... I'm trying to save up my money but Willie Nelson is like a national treasure here in Texas.... I'll have to sleep on it. But the illustration is awesome!!
Normally I wouldn't wear someone's face on a shirt, but this one is a classic, and a wonderful piece of art! This would make a perfect gift for several people I know, so I may pick up a few :)
So though I would love to have a shirt that the design takes up the entire shirt including all the way to the bottom I am in no way a willie nelson fan so I must say no thanks not for me but it is an awesome shirt and an amazing illustration
*nico*
Like shadx, I would totally love your Britney on a shirt (maybe even with the before and after on different sides, or both scaled down on the front). When the Obama shirt was up I went through your portfolio too, and I got such a kick from your Britney caricatures. XD
You have a really wonderful and interesting style, and this one is no exception. Not really something I would wear personally, but still a grand piece of art.
Great placement. I didn't know TF could deviate from the center of the shirt. If only it had someone more relevant to my generation. Congrats though, looks great.
wow, great illustration, I had to check out your portfolio after seeing this. I really like the Scott Weiland, if that was turned into a shirt I would pick it up, unfortunately Willie Nelson is not my cup of tea.
YEAH! this shirt is so boss! i'm thinking i will probably get it being from texas and all. so many people will be jealous! haha my life will be complete.
i agree, i think a buddy holly shirt would be swell also.
congrats on ANOTHER print and thanks for the boss tee!

Buddy Holly would be excellent, and yesterday would have been very fitting considering it was the 50th anniversary of his crash. I live in Iowa and there is a huuuuge festival in Clear Lake, IA (where his plane crashed) honoring him, the Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens. It draws thousands of people from all over the world, and this year they went all out for the anniversary.

smuuuuuurf! i wish i could be there! my friends and i are watching la bamba tonight in honor of the dead. i adore that movie. i've heard "american pie" like 5 times today.
Greetings! The real life Dr. Fessel here. As you know, Randy, I love your stuff! Your art, too. ;) For those of you who are yet strangers to me... BUY THIS SHIRT! DOCTOR'S ORDERS!
I don't know where you're located or how feasible it is for you to come to Iowa, but they have the festival every year and it usually has a pretty good turnout. This year was just reeeeally big because of it being the 50th Anniversary. Could always plan on it for a road trip in 2010!!
Words from jimiyo: Randy is a favorite artist at Teefury. If you aren't already familiar with his work, we've featured Obama, and Popular Music in the past. Make sure you don't miss out on today's offering, cause Tee Today, Gone Tomorrow!
Tell us about this design. This is the 3rd of 23 illustrations (so far) in the Popular Music series that I've been working on for some time. In this particular design I wanted to capture an emotional expression. I tried to portray the essence of an artist in his element and also challenge myself with all of that hair.
If you won a millions dollars, what would you do with it? Spend it.
What would you like to be doing in 5 years? I'd like to have my Masters Degree by then and possibly start teaching. Oh and have my art featured in Rolling Stone Magazine and many other publications that you may find in your local bookstores and news stands. :oD
Pirates, Ninjas, or Dr Fessel? Pirates are cool, but dirty and prone to illness. Ninjas are badass, but can get injured in fights and brake bones. However, Dr. Fessel is a Hero and can cure the pirates illness and mend ninjas broken bones. So to answer your question... a pony.
Are there any ongoing art projects you would like to promote? I'm still working on my popular music series so if anybody has any suggestions let me know. Shoot me an email at randymcquien_jr@yahoo.com. I working on Bruce Springsteen and Bob Marley right now. And I'm always up for commissions. ;o)
