A word from wotto: This is Sherrie's 2nd time here at Teefury. Her 1st design was heavily debated but like a true artist, Sherrie went back to the drawing board and returned all guns blazing. This design is so well crafted, hand drawn in pain staking detail. Welcome back!

You have skills, how did you acquire them?
Many sleepless nights, research, and carpal tunnel through oodles of doodles.

So tell us how you developed this T-shirt design, what was the starting point?
This was conceptualized as a pencil sketch, then created on clayboard (where you scratch out all the white sections), and cleaned up in Photoshop. Simple black and white work. I was just exploring different textures and patterns.

Which T-shirt do you wear the most?
Bruce Lee at the Turntables. Hilarious stuff.

Name one artist you think is underrated?
Martin Hsu

Star Wars or Star Trek?
Star Wars—Storm Troopers!

Which 5 famous people would you like to have dinner with (dead or alive)?
Da Vinci, MLK, H.R. Giger, Dore, Mos Def, and if one doesn’t show up, Betty Page.

What book would you suggest for people to read?
The Artist’s Way

Who has been the best client you have designed for?
Teddy Bear Films—documentary film promo art—pro-bono. It was part of a larger scope and I knew it was a socially-important project--as it was about the life of Chinese sweatshop worker. Personal projects are always the best, because the work becomes more sentimental and worthwhile.

Who would you most like to dance with?
If the music was fast—Roxrite—I’ll just watch
If the music was slow—Johnny Depp. . . hey, a girl can dream.

What plans do you have for 2009?
Besides world domination? Just keep pluggin away--one sketch at a time. I hope to create more fine arts pieces on glass and wood--and maybe open up a Big Cartel store.

What animal would you be re-incarnated as and why?
Tortoise—enjoy a long life at my own pace and see the world change.
