I'd like to see more TeeFury Logo shirts for sale...I've only got a couple of the black ones with a white bird (one has a broken grey heart on it) they're two of my favorite shirts. I prefer shirts that are black, ash, white and sometimes brown and green depending on the shade. I like simple yet creative designs that don't take up a lot of space on the shirt.
A word from the curator: I love a great pun, and this shirt definitely has that covered. Even better, El Rey's stencil style brings a new kind of imagery to TeeFury, something I'd love to see more of.
Tell us the background of this design. Cheap self-amusing wordplay, really. Not uncommon around here. What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you? I can make decent tortillas from scratch, and recognize boysenberry jelly as SUPERIOR. What do you absolutely not want them to find out? My 50-lb. metal feet are aftermarket bolt-ons. Name a few of your favorite things. Lizards, Reese's peanut butter cups, water in clear containers, cooking, whacking something with a hammer. What are your feelings on kittens? I am pro-kitten but allergic. If they're in little kitten-in-a-bubble suits, we're good. Do you prefer skiing, snowboarding, sledding, or staying indoors? Ah ha ha ha, snow. As if. AH ha ha ha. I live in the desert, which is not by accident. Vegetarian vs. huge, angry, mutated head of lettuce: who would win the battle? Does the lettuce have hands/thumbs to carry/shoot a laser pistol? Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much. A 15-year old dayglo-pink-on-black t-shirt for GULP, a zine a friend edited and I contributed to. The slogan: "Perfect reading for the loo!" The fabric between the letters is starting to come apart. Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium. Statistically it appears to be gaming, I guess, judging by the 80 hours I've spent as Pyro in Team Fortress 2 in the last year or so. What inspires your work? Comics, video games, cute and/or ugly animals, and a dash of science. Seeing other good work (or hearing great music, etc.) that gets me all hopped up again. Any shout outs? Thanks to the 1000+ owners of El Reys the world over who've gotten me to this point. It cheers more than they could know that, ideally, I daily cause 1,000 "heh"s.
