It looks like he's saying Bra Bins. It took me a while to realize the zombie motif and I only could do that after I saw the explanation of the shirt....

The Godzilla design reminds me a lot of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, right down to the font style. (You might have to have a young child to understand this reference.)

Not enough "zombie-ness" for me.. it's lost in the Flora style illustration.

Needs more brains! The poetry book could have been the book of the dead or something sinister. It feels like a great illustration that wasn't taken to the next level!

The type treatment reads BRA-BINS.. print size is way to big. But hey, Like I said, Great Flora influenced illustration.

very cool design, i really like it a lot. but if you remove the "brains" quote there's really nothing else to suggest that they're zombies. i bet most people won't pick up on it even with the bubble text in there.

Sometimes the best combinations in life are the ones you never anticipated. Like casting Adam Sandler in a drama- it sounds like a dangerous idea, but once you've given it a try, it rules. Call me a dreamer, but I think that mod style and the undead might just be the next chocolate and peanut butter.

Tell us the background of this design.
I thought it’d be fun to mash together 60’s mod beatnik culture with flesh eating zombies.

What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I can play “Hungry Like the Wolf” on ukulele.

What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
When I was a kid, I wanted to be Ziggy when I grew up.

Name a few of your favorite things.
Swedish fish, bowling, and brown paper packages tied up with strings.

What are your feelings on stovepipe hats?
That’s a tough look to pull off but if ya got it flaunt it. I was always partial to porkpie hats, nothing beats hats, pork and pie!

What is your favorite breakfast cereal?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cereal, which was sugar coated chex with marshmallows, but they stopped making it and then brought it back as Spiderman cereal, but they stopped making that too. Alas, when will they bring it back!

Sumo wrestler vs. an enterprising youngster with a slingshot: who would win the battle?
My money’s on the kid, you should never under estimate an enterprising youngster.

Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
My Pixies shirt, reminds me of one the best concerts I’ve seen.

Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Watching movies, anything Hitchcock or 50’s sci-fi.

What inspires your work?
Jim Flora, Mary Blair, Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Jim Henson, Hanna Barbera cartoons, comic books, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, 50’s sci-fi, wind-up tin robots, giant monster movies.

Any shout outs?
My wife, my folks, the boys in the illustration department, & any poor schlub that sat with me in artist alley.
