I rarely comment, and usually I'm not taken in by sketch shirts, but there's something about this design that really fascinates me. It has a very human characteristic to it that I always find is hard to capture on a shirt. Neat concept, and great job on executing it. The dog, the receding walkway to the right, and the man above it especially are really lovely sketches. Excellent work!
Woah, noone mentioned first or anything, not that I cared for anyway.
Good piece of scruffy art, but a lighter background wouldn't hide the lines and showcase it better. Looking forward for more excellent artwork from ya!
WesleyCrusher you musta done gewd if you got her to comment hehe. Same here though I usually find overlapping dsigns really tacky but this one is really nicely done! I can't even get closer enough to see the detail on my iPhone buy when I get home I'll look closer. I'm really cpnsiderin buying which is he'd cuz I'm so picky. Very engaging illustration!
Thanks guys! It's always awesome to get feedback about my designs! I'm stoked that teefury printed this shirt, and thankfull to Wotto for making it happen as well :) Anyhow, I love reading the comments, so keep em coming!
Cool, great drawing and like the comic edge. Not for me though..would've liked the linework more BOLD. I love the 'Evil Villains' on the right..print print PRINT
Enin: I totally am with you on that. All of my work is hand inked, even the cleaner stuff, just because of those little mistakes and blips that make the line unique. Thanks for all your comments you guys! I love hearing feedback about the design!
Thanks to everyone who bought a shirt and to teefury for printing it! And also to those who commented and checked out the designs! If you have the time, vote for my design here: http://www.designbyhumans.com/vote/detail/37802 or click

A word from wotto: Josh has had a lot of success on the T-shirt design circuit. It won't be a surprise to hear that he also designs skatebords and has created artwork for comics. Hugely talented and an all round good guy, thanks Josh your always welcome at my Teefury door.
1. Tell us a little about this design. I love to sketch, and at some point fell in love with doing designs that overlap and show the six degrees of separation in city scenes. All of these are hand drawn from life. Somehow, the collision of all of these images makes a lovely abstraction which, I feel, reflects our lives, and the vibrance of cityscapes. 2. Where in the world are you? I'm located in Portland, Oregon in the USA 3. What is your favourite medium? Pen and ink, and photoshop
4. Which superhero power would you like the most and why? I'd like the power to not need sleep. If that could happen I could make so much artwork, and my graphic novel would already be finished! 5. Who is the best villain ever? Good question! Hmm... I'd have to say the Joker. 6. What was the last song you listened to? "While You Were Sleeping" by Elvis Perkins 7. Favourite quote/lyric? "...Life is but a walking shadow... It is a poor player who struts and frets his hour upon the stage, and then is heard no more..." -Shakespeare, Macbeth 8. Who has been the best client you have designed for? It's hard to pick only one, so I'll split it into a few shirts: threadless comics: random house illustrations: weldon owen 9. who would you most like to collaborate with? Chris Ware would be sick... Either that or Chip Kidd 10. How many t-shirts do you own? To many. One of the best payments from doing shirt design is the free products. 11.Which website do you go to everyday? http://drawn.ca Want to promote a website/someone/yourself? Sure... Check out my website/store here: www.joshuakemble.com
also, I've gotta pimp my fiance's website... She's a fantastic children's book illustrator, and her work can be viewed here: www.maiskemble.blogspot.com
