A word from the curator:
Half man, half horse, all awesome. That's the basic recipe for a centaur. The greatest thing about them is that their magic is so hard to explain. Why are centaurs the greatest of all mythological creatures? No one can put it into words. It transcends logic. It barrels through your ability to communicate and plunges right into your soul, so you're just left with your jaw hanging open and with one thought on your mind: CENTAURS ROCK!

Tell us the background of this design.
After consulting the internet, a fortune-telling robotic gypsy (thanks, Big) and my wife, I realized that there weren't enough rocking centaurs around. Now, I'm pretty sure that 95% [±3%] of all centaurs are always rocking, so this didn't make sense. I decided to take some initiative and email Target® to see if they would make some rocking centaur tshirts. They didn't reply, so I took matter into my own hands and drew up the one that you see here.

What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I love my wife and 2 boys. I work from home as an illustrator/graphic designer. I've recently started drinking tea after being a hardcore coffee drinker for a long time. I hate shoveling snow.

What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
That I'm very easiliy tricked into giving away my secrets via interview.

Name a few of your favorite things.
Something about Julie Andrews should go here, but I'm allergic to cats. Favorite things... drawing, being self-employed so that I can (more often than not) do the kind of work that I like doing, finding new and awesome music, and Silas & Salem (my boys).

What are your feelings on sharks?
It kinda depends. Some sharks are really cool - they just swim around and eat stuff. Other sharks are not so cool - mainly, Jaws. I mean - he devoured people for no apparent reason. Devouring people is never cool.

What is your favorite thing to draw?
I really like drawing natural things - animals, wood grains, pastries, etc.

Which holiday do you enjoy the most?
Christmas or Casimir Pulaski Day - you Illinois kids know what I'm saying.

Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
It's a toss-up. I have a Sufjan Stevens "Come on feel the Illinoise" shirt that I absolutely love... I really like Sufjan Stevens and Illinois. I also have a shirt called "Southbound Pachyderm" by Frank Barbara that's great... it has a flying elephant with a ball & chain... I like the heavy linework. Lastly, I have a Bush/Quayle campaign shirt from 1992... I just like the novelty of it. I'm too fat to wear it anymore, though. I USED to have a sweet Man or Astroman shirt, but I don't know what happened to it... probably for the best... I was never REALLY into surf rock.

Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Watching movies - I really like the Indiana Jones trilogy (notice how I said trilogy, Spielberg?... seriously... Shia LeBeouf?) I was just recently introduced to Guitar Hero... which I thought was really lame before trying it, but have now decided is really awesome.

What inspires your work?
Anything from tv sitcoms to looking out the window... it seems to have something to do with staring at stuff.
