I haven't been able to buy a TeeFury shirt in over a month because the 4-5 days out of the week I actually have money to spend, I don't see the shirts that I would like to buy, but then literally the day I don't have the spending money anymore, awesome shirts that fit me perfectly come up, right in a row. When I have my money, gone. Its like a paradox, I can't beat it! I get so annoyed when I know I have no money but check anyways and I predict an awesome shirt and sure enough there's one now. I hate myself.
big brother says buy the shirt jakey.
you know if you had the money a few days ago... oh idk ever heard of holding back a few smuuuuuurf dollars to not miss greatness?
you smuuuuuurf shirt addicts are all alike ;)
wow been checking TeeFury every morning give or take a few for the past few weeks and this is the first wait no second t-shirt worth getting...if only money grew on trees.
I dig this tee. I really Smurfing wish I had the money to buy it! Maybe I'll talk my husband into lending me the cash! :D I also like this design: http://www.teefury.com/images/articles/sidebar-octoberrevolution.jpg
I think the style of propaganda art is really interesting too, but saying it doesn't have any subliminal messages or distasteful meaning is really subjective. Sure, it doesn't say one person or government is heroic/noble/the only path, but it's still an image that seriously glorifies militarism, and the red and blue are very patriotic colors.
I mean, whatever, I still think it looks cool and it's very well done, but let's call a spade a spade.
"does Shephard Fairey get residuals?"
I think i will send an e-mail to Mr. Shepard Fairey i will ask for his paypal and say "here is your part of money sir, It's an honor for me to be a part of your inspiration" :)
hmmm I'm really at odds if I'm going to buy it or not. I'm really not sure about the message, even though I like the design a great deal. It's kind of one of those mixed feelings ya know? I just don't support communism idk if it matters or not but I don't want people thinking I do. Or is there a different meaning?
Elvandare, i don't support communist , wear it as a protest against communism :) let the communists see that their ideology's (I'm not sure if this is the right word) are now just a print on a shirt nothing more :)
As is my problem with ALL of teefury's apparel, the beautiful design is cut way too high from the bottom of the shirt. It becomes less of a design and more of a 'cool colored square placed in the middle of my shirts'.
I wish I had the money for this one too. It's really great! I love it--in fact I love all the stuff in FatMouse's portfolio! A talented artist indeed. :D
A word from the curator: Propaganda art is strong, bold, and intriguing- it has to be, because its aim is typically to entice or bully people into subscribing to someone else's agenda. What I enjoy about this piece is the way it uses the language of propaganda imagery to create something beautiful and without a subliminal message, letting viewers enjoy the form without the distasteful meaning.
Tell us the background of this design. I was raised 'till the age of seven in a communist country i remember that even in kindergarden we had a lot of propaganda posters. I tried to recreate those times in this design, of course now communist posters are cool to wear on your tee or walls or stickers but those times for me where just some scary hideous images.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you? That, I'm not fat and I'm not a mouse so please stop sending e-mails offering me cheese in exchange for designs.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out? That I'm lazy like an opossum
What are your feelings on piñatas? Is a brightly-colored paper container filled with candy and/or toys? I never saw one (i read about it on wikipedia) Name a few of your favorite things. Wacom, Apple, internet, Hold'em, skateboarding, snowboarding... What is your favorite mythical creature? Cyclops - because they will have no problem losing one contact lens Which historical figure would you most want to meet? Rasputin- i need some advices of how to trick death
Which art form that you've never attempted would you most want to try, and why? 3d animation because I'm working on a comic book and i will love to see my characters moving and talking
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium. Gaming, and my favorite game is Mortal Kombat, i played all of them
What inspires your work? The internet, my favorite designers, games, memories, greek mythology (lately)..etc

But once again, that is a sick looking shirt. I like how you emphasized the dude in the front by not putting the wear and tear over him.
And yes, Rasputin is unkillable. :|
