Tell us a bit about this design.
When I was younger, I had a lot of arguments with my friends about who is stronger of the two characters. This represents my final theory.
Where are you from?
I’m from Almería, in the south Spain. You maybe know about this land, because a lot of Western movies (Spaguetti Western) were filmed here, due to the landscape is very similar to the real american far west. Clint Eastwood and that stuff, you know.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
Although I’ve been drawing and designing for all my life, I am almost new into t-shirt design. I’ve done a few designs for about two and a half months, but I’ve already been featured for 4 times in different tee-a-day webs! What I mean is: If you really like to design and be drawing all day, you can be here too!
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
That I’m very bad at writing and speaking english, but I think that I failed trying to hide this out!
Name a few of your favorite things.
Overall, I like drawing, climbing mountains, a lot of geeky things... and the most important: rock n’ roll. I’ve played electric guitar in a band for the last 6 years of my life, so, yes, maybe it’s one of my favorite things.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
I painted a few canvas with oil (I took classes), and I used to make a LOT of comics. The real thing is that though I have moved on to different kinds of drawings, I never got stuck in a special style.
What is your favorite thing about video games?
I love videogames since I can remember. Nowadays I enjoy sandbox games, you know, creative stuff. I’ve been playing Minecraft for a while, and I usually like all the games that offer you a nonlinear gameplay.
The city vs. the country: which would win the battle?
Definitely the country. I live in a small city, but when I can, I go there (there are mountains very close to my house :D). Mi father is an experimented alpinist, and he always took me with him to the mountain. So actually I am very used to the country, and I can’t live without it.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
Difficult question, but I think that my favorite t-shirt is a Led Zeppelin one which my girlfriend took me from London. It gives me lots of memories. But also I like very much my first ever printed tee: Zombie Survival Quick Start Guide. You can see it below this interview.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
I prefer reading, but I also LOVE the other two options. My favorite books are: the “Captain Alatriste” by Arturo Pérez Reverte, “The Physician” by Noah Gordon, and more recently “The Name of the Wind” by Patrick Rothfuss (probably I will make a T-shirt about this :D).
What inspires your work?
The bunch of TV series, movies, books, videogames, comics, and more stuff like this that I “eat” every day. Also, and even more important, the fresh air that I breath on the country.
Any shout outs?
To everyone at Teefury, and specially Jimiyo for being awesome. To my family for enjoying my little “success” on t-shirt designing, and finally to my amazing girlfriend.
