Tell us about this design.
There's been a LOT of geek designs over the years. Some are specific, but I wanted to create something that pretty much has it all. Really something for everyone. You might not get all the symbols and images on the design, but it's sure fun to try and guess them! Hopefully all you geek lovers will get a kick out of this one.
Where are you from?
Lovely Morrisville, NC, where vinegar style BBQ is king, and I hate vinegar ;)
How would you describe your style?
Simplistic, but catchy. If I try to put a lot of things into a design I try to make them simple and easy on the eyes. I also love typography and logo designs, so I sometimes incorporate those a lot.
If you could collaborate with anyone else, who would you pick?
I'm never great when coming up with catchy sayings or really funny ideas, so someone who is better at that, or perhaps someone from LucasArts that would give me permission to do a true Star Wars design without limitations!
What historical figure do you most admire?
Not sure if people consider him historical yet... but for work ethics and dedication and attention to details, probably someone like Steve Jobs. Certainly not for his family values. I always looked up to people who were visionaries like Einstein or Thomas Edison.
If you weren't designing shirts, what would you be doing?
Well since we now have a newborn… sleeping, but besides that the great thing about doing this (designing shirts) and other contract positions is the flexibility. Right now I'm working on a novel, doing web and graphic design work, and also doing a lot of video animation projects. I always wanted to work in the video game industry or maybe for Pixar though…
Would you rather hang out with hobbits or Jedi?
Hmm.. I love food.. and comfort.. and second breakfasts, so send me off to the Shire right now! Of course there's no reason a Hobbit couldn't be a Jedi. Think of the possibilities!
Science vs. magic: which would win the battle?
Wow, that's probably one of the hardest questions I've ever had to answer. It's like picking your favorite child. All depends on the person wielding it. If Gandalf or Dombeldore were squaring off against Emmett Brown or Tony Stark... Somehow I feel the wizards would kick ass. Perhaps they would have a better chance if Dr. Brown went into the past and made sure their parents never met and fell in love?
What is your favorite t-shirt color?
Probably Navy - it just goes with everything!
What has been your favorite vacation or travel experience?
A split between the Caribbean and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Would love to head to Tahiti someday though.

My beautiful new baby girl Anna! She was just born in late October and both her and my wife are doing great! Also don't want to forget my three year old daughter as well. And thanks again to Teefury for your support of my art, and of course all the great designers out there who have lent me their feedback and criticism. Your help has helped me improve every day!

Maybe but I think it wouldn't be so subtle if it was. Probably would say something like "Bazinga" instead of "Geek"

Nope, it's just the symbol of an atom. The big focus is on all the little images that make the word "Geek". See if you can recognize them all.
