Teefury

I hail from a sleepy little town known as Sellersburg, Indiana which is about 10 minutes from Louisville, Kentucky. I live literally 5 minutes from the place I grew up at and the school that I have so many fond memories of. It’s has a great small town feel while being close to the bustling city life.

I am here to stay. I studied graphic design at a local community college and graphics and art have always been a big part of my life. I love the whole $10 a day shirt concept and I hope to lend my hand (and whacky ideas) to creating some killer artwork.

That I literally have trouble watching horror movies (even though I run a horror movie themed website) after watching Ti West’s recent “slow burn” masterpiece THE INNKEEPERS. That movie affected me and I still have trouble watching a good, creepy ghost-story themed horror movie alone. 

I love watching movies and television shows and getting into thorough discussions about each. I prefer independent movies over blockbusters usually, they tend to push the limit and I’ve grown tired of the mainstream. I also love running my website and interacting with all of our users. Laughter also is the number one thing that keeps me going and I would be scorned if I didn’t mention my beautiful wife Jamie, spending time with her is number 1. 

Myself and a group of friends created this obscure drawing known simply as an E.E. when I was in the first grade. We drew this thing everywhere, on desks, carved it into doors, it became out calling card. I loved it so much I actually got it tattooed on my left arm. E.E.’s LIVE! 

Horror movies bring me back to my childhood when films like Friday the 13th and The Evil Dead terrified me but excited me at the same time. I love the escapism of delving into good horror and experiencing terror that I couldn’t dream of going through in real life. It’s just a nice way to walk to the edge without actually having to jump. 

That’s a tough one but I think metal wins out in the end. Something about the raw nature of metal that just really gets the blood pumping. 

My favorite shirt is anything that causes a double take. I get more pleasure in wearing obscure reference shirts that 90 percent of people would never get but that 10 perfect that do makes my day. It’s why I got into this whole mess in the first place. 

Watching movies is my escapism of choice. I can’t begin to tell you how many films I’ve watched just in the past 5 years or so. I have really become a critic because of my line of work and delving into films allows me to really dig into all aspects of the film from beginning to end. I can talk about films for hours and hours! 

My wacky sometimes insane sense of humor. My thoughts constantly turn into pictures in my mind and often translate exactly to my designs. I can go from idea to full design rather quickly and that all stems from my weird outlook on this world we live in.

I definitely have to give a HUGE shout out to my friend Will Blake for getting me into the whole $10 a day shirt phenomenon. He and Keith Rankin both helped me finally say hey, I can do this. We love checking out the designs each and every day. Also another shout out to my friend and personal “Saul Goodman”, Joel Fenner. He was one of those brats with me in first grade that helped with the E.E. design and is still one of my best friends to this day. We love to compete with graphics so I wouldn’t be surprised if he had some artwork displayed here very soon as well. Of course a shout out to TeeFury and all the fans, I appreciate having my artwork displayed and thanks for being so gracious. Now buy a shirt and lets make sales history, lol!
