Tell us the background of this design.
This illustration was originally created as part of a giant art installation featured at Urban Outfitters in Ybor City FL. The robot was printed 6.5ft. Tall. I always wanted to create a T-shirt version of this piece and am stoked to see it come to life.
Age/Sex/Location-How long have you been an artist? What kind of artists are you?
Just turned 30, gonna live fast and die old I guess. I’ve been working as a graphic designer and digital illustrator for about 12years now.
Where do you find inspiration?
My work is often inspired by Japanese culture, Soviet propaganda, death metal, mythology and horror movies.
Paper or plastic?
Reusable tote, of course
XBOX, Playstation or Wii?
Got a Wii, and Playstation 2. I don’t get much time too play ‘em unfortunately
What do you love more than anything in the world?
Traveling to Asia and buying a bunch of really cool / dumb shit.
What do you hate more than anything in the world?
Not having enough money to travel to Asia to buy a bunch of really cool / dumb shit.
Most overused word in the English Language?
Favorite band and why?
Toss up between Carcass and Neurosis. Both are timeless classics.
What do you do when you're not creating art?
Plan and host art exhibits for our gallery, eat, watch bands, party and get nutz, in that order.
