Some great ideas don't work on a tshirt. This is one of them. Any one of the side art pieces would be better on a shirt.

Where's the 'LIKE' button!? The 'Android Attacks' shirt would be an instabuy for me too. Btw, Adams, you rocked the perspective on that shirt, and the backgrounds are NICELY done, too.

Tell us about this design.

I created this art when Curiosity, the robotic rover, arrived on Mars and people speculating about what it would find on the planet. I thought of several options, but I found most amusing was a Martian showing her ass to the camera, as some people do when the Google View Car visit their street.

Where are you from?

I'm from Brazil / Ceará.

How would you describe your style?

I'm a guy who always liked comics, Japanese animation and Pop Art. I guess I synthesize well the mixture, using a little of the influence of each thing in my work and depending on the job any of these three characteristics stands out over the others.

If you could collaborate with anyone else, who would you pick?

I do not know if I would help only one person if I could. I have much appreciation for old people. I get really angry when I see families putting their elderly in nursing homes and literally getting rid of them. They are men and women charged with stories of conquests and defeats. They are the mirror of what we will be one day. So maybe if I could help it would be an institution to care for the elderly.

What historical figure do you most admire?

At the moment my favorite historical figure is former president of my country, Lula. He may not be as popular in some first world countries and those who do not care for Latin America, but he was a very simple man, a labourer; who became president of Brazil and managed to distribute some wealth also among poor people. He is not a man without errors, but he did what nobody has done before for my country.

If you weren't designing shirts, what would you be doing?

If I weren't drawing shirts, I'd be doing something involving drawings as children's books, fashion, advertising, whatever. But if I could not draw, I probably would write for the geek public. Maybe Comic Books, RPG Books, Phantasy Books or scripts for video game.

Would you rather visit Mars or Jupiter?

Mars. The Martians are all on mars. Jupiter is just an enormous place, cold and silly.

Robots vs. aliens: which would win the battle?

Surely the Aliens. Robots are only human machines and Aliens are creatures of nature simply wanting to continue their lives and maintain the balance of their habitat, even if they have to kill some humans along the way.

What is your favorite t-shirt color?

At the moment, I like the visual warmth of red shirts.

What has been your favorite vacation or travel experience?

I especially liked a trip to a beach known as Canoa Quebrada. Peaceful, heavenly and great to share with someone you love. And she was with me.
