About the artist
Obvian
Tell us about this design.
A lone figure silent guarding the English forests. He's the knight that Camelot deserves, but not the one it needs right now.
I rather enjoyed the last film of Nolan's Bat Trilogy, and somehow Monty Python seemed to just creep in...
Where are you from?
From the far away land of Melbourne, Australia. It's a magical land where businessmen frolic the streets and students stalk the alleyways for energy drinks. Rough times.
Which art style would you most like to learn?
The technique where I can stare at a page for 10 seconds and the image will miraculously appear. What? No? Oh well, learning it all the hard way is actually more fun.
If you had a time machine, which era would you visit first?
The Precambrian. And leave behind a mobile phone. Those archaeologists are going to have a hard time figuring that one out.
What goal do you most aspire towards?
Owning a time machine. Which I don't think will happen, as I would have given it to myself by now. Sigh.
If you could stop any t-shirt trend in its tracks, which would you end? What trend would you like to see started?
The answer to both is "hypercolour".
Would you rather go on a trip to the jungle or the beach?
Why must they be separate? Did they have a falling out? Did the beach cheat on the jungle with the ocean? If it weren't for the messy divorce I'd be able to spend equal time with both.
Delorean vs. Tardis: which would win the battle?
I must say, the storage capacity of a Tardis is a definite factor. And it does travel through space... But really, I'm one for enjoying the travelling, and I choose to do so in style. DeLorean it is. It comes with a free hoverboard.
Describe the first shirt you ever designed.
There's two versions of this tale. One is the first shirt I ever submitted anywhere online which is a seemingly poignant image of a floating astronaut and his dog.
But I did draw a cartoon shark when I was 9 that my uncle put in fluoro/rainbow colours on a black shirt. The early 90's was a messed up time, man.
What has been your most inspiring art experience?
After a few years, it's still pretty neat to have people wearing your art. But second to that, the first time I picked up a book illustrated by Shaun Tan. The man is amazing.
Any shout outs?
This little design accidentally went viral, and quite a few people put in some extra effort on tumblrs, reddit and the like to direct people back towards me, my humble page and of course, here. I know I'll miss a lot of them, but a huge thank you to Bamboota, JVZ, Josh Mirman, a heap of people from the-rbc, Joel Z, Josh F, Evil Nathan (actually a separate person. It was from a discussion with him that this idea came up). Any friends I have left out but who helped are welcome to verbally abuse me until such time as I buy them a beer, coffee or beverage of choice. And of course, to everyone who buys or even just has a good giggle at the design.

If it isn't only one day deals, then specify that and don't advertise as one day deals. I get these t-shirts because I am being told that they are being made for one day only (minus the shirts that the designers sell on their websites). Maybe I need to rethink if I should be giving Teefury my business at all because of these two things I have seen within days of each other. I love the t-shirts but if you market your website as one day deals only, then do ONE day deals only, not OK well this t-shirt was very popular so lets stick it up in a month or two to make more money. That is TWO day deals.

As we stated on this site and social media, we decided to extend the TwoFury sale by a day after unexpected technical issues knocked the site offline for many hours on Tuesday. It was a rare decision to extend the sale, but seemed like the right call to make in order to help the artist sell tees to all the people who were actively trying to buy.

Wow, rage much? It's called human error. I'm sure you made TONS of mistakes in your life so calm down. I've been coming to this site for well over 2 years and yesterday is the only time that they had that little error. If the highlight of your day is to see a random shirt on a website than I feel sorry for you.

They only did that because they were have technical difficulties. They posted it on their facebook.

Most other T-Shirt sites these designs end up on are about twice as expensive, give or take, it's still a pretty sweet deal. TeeFury also provides a higher quality shirt than most places. To sum up, regardless of whether the design appears elsewhere later, it's typically more expensive for a lower quality shirt, it almost always is definitely a "deal", even if it isn't as singularly exclusive (I do like that redbubble lets you pick different colors for some designs though, such as the "would you kindly" shirt from a while back; looks much better in forest/hunter green).
