When a man rescues the president, he’s earned a t-shirt tribute.
Where are you from?
We’re a married couple. She lived in Queens. He lived in Brooklyn. We were married in Manhattan. And now we design t-shirts together (in Brooklyn).
Which art style would you most like to learn?
Her: Dadaism
Him: Pointillism
If you had a time machine, which era would you visit first?
Her: Caveman Times
Him: Roaring Twenties
What goal do you most aspire towards?
Him: I want to fit into my skinny jeans.
Her: I’d like to be taller.
If you could stop any t-shirt trend in its tracks, which would you end?
The I (heart) NY parodies have got to stop.
What trend would you like to see started?
Two words: Cat Superheroes
Would you rather do a stunt yourself or have a stuntman?
Her: I’d have a stuntman because I’m afraid of dying.
Him: I would do my own stunts through the miracle of CGI.
NY vs. LA: which would win the battle?
NY will always be three hours ahead of LA.
Describe the first shirt you ever designed.
The creepy/cute lovechild of Totoro & Chewbacca, aptly named “Chewtoro.”
What has been your most inspiring art experience?
Him: Pompei’s Villa dei Misteri
Her: Seeing a random person wearing one of our shirts.
