Come play with us, Daddy
About the artistArt curated by
Tell us a bit about this design.
I discovered the recipe to create the ultimate creepy little girls. Ingredients: 2 whole Grady Twins, 2 whole Little Sisters. Directions: Smoosh twins and sisters together until just combined. Bake at 666 degrees until skin reaches a ghostly pallor and eyes begin to glow.
Where are you from?
I grew up in the Bay Area but moved to Portland, Oregon when I was 17 to pursue the dream of the 90's and put birds on things.
What do you want TeeFury fans to know about you?
I have a robot arm.
What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
I have a robot heart :(
Name a few of your favorite things.
Puppies, whales, cheese, fat old ugly dogs, vintage toys, birds, science, conjoined twins, rabbits, war bonnets, taxidermy, albinos, alligators, bears, glass-bottomed boats, the smell of kneaded erasers, really bad horror movies, Mr. Sketch markers, goats.
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
I was utterly obsessed with animals as a child, especially birds. I drew them constantly. I still have a painting I did in 2nd grade of a dead bird, the assignment was to paint something that made you sad.
What is your favorite thing about horror?
It's a versatile genre is also incredibly visually appealing. Horror finds beauty, and/or humor in the grotesque. My favorite horror titles are ones with gorgeous landscapes and haunting, surreal imagery. It's either that or absurd blood-drenched comedies.
Utopia vs. dystopia: which would win the battle?
In a perfect world, utopia would win but perfect worlds are boring and they don't exist :)
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
My favorite shirt is a vintage Butthole Surfers shirt from 1994. It's crazy glorious. My dog ate half of the back of it and I still wear it.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Truth be told, I hardly ever do any of them these days (I don't own a T.V.) but it would have to be between gaming and reading. As far as gaming goes, some of my favorites are the Bioshock series, Mass Effect, Limbo, and Silent Hill. I'm not even going to pretend that I ever watch movies without somebody twisting my arm...people are always appalled by the lack of movies I've seen (or haven't as the case may be.) I hadn't seen Back to the Future until earlier this year and I'm 27 years old. I know. I know! I'm sorry, I'm a total weirdo!
What inspires your work?
All kinds of things! I keep a stockpile of images for reference and inspiration that I add to daily.
Any shout outs?
I'd like to thank Tee Fury for giving my design a chance :)
