What websites would you recommend that artists and fans check out?

I belong to and follow a few different artist groups with really cool sites.

In 1997, I co-founded the Philadelphia Cartoonist Society (www.phillytoon.org) with Andrew Hart and Chrissy Pomroy. Now we have over 100 Philly cartoonists on our mailing list and 30 active members. These past few years, Chris Patchell has really stepped up to carry a lot of the duties with the group. That's how I met guys like Dave Perillo, Tom Whalen, and Scott Derby (who are also Teefurians).

I am also a longtime member of the Meathaus Comics Collective (www.meathaus.com) of underground cartoonists and comic artists. A lot of unbelievably talented artists roll with that group, like Farel Dalrymple, Chris McDonnell, Tomer & Asaf Hanuka, Becky Cloonan, James Jean, Brandon Graham, Jay Sacher, Mu Pan, Celia Bullwinkel, Angry Jim, Rob Donnelly, Matt Manning, Esau Andrews, Dash Shaw, Kenichi Hosine, Tom Herpich, Stardog, and Zach Baldus. I know I am leaving out some amazing artists. I've learned so much being a part of Meathaus.

Also, The Autumn Society (www.theautumnsociety.com)is kind enough to include me in their happenings. Sam Heimer, Joe Game, Eamon Dougherty, and a bunch of Philly-area guys started that group. There is a big crossover between them and the Cartoonist Society.
