What I want to know is why the males will always get a slate color whereas the females get this powder blue? What if I want a powder blue shirt, hm? Would be odd for a male to wear a female's shirt though...

The only real difference would be the shorter sleeves and you could probably use the sun there anyway.
I don't comment much on designs, and I'm truly sorry. I'll try to add some praise for the artists in the future.
However, this design is utterly epic! Bravo, RubyRed! Excellent choice of the color for the shirt; it goes with the design so well! ...HHNNNGGUUAAAAAHHHHHH...

Also, Guys always get the green and we get teal blue or red. And the guys always get a good yellow and we get washed out faded yellow. I thought they just already had these certain colors but Ive noticed even some of mine of the same color are different types of shirts, so I have no clue...I wish it wasnt so though, I love green shirts...

Actually, 'girly' shirts suction in in the middle and the sleeves are so short on the inside that they may as well not be there. If you have sweat glands, what sleeve there is will quickly be destroyed.
Regarding the bird, I think people are reading too much into it. To me it's probably merely symbolic of escape. Oh and I'm pretty sure it's swift or swallow.
Whatever it is, it's an elegantly simple design and well executed. :)

That he does, and Brook had a raven. That bird silhouette is a sparrow. I was wondering about the choice.

Shawshank Redemption? I'm surprised anyone's unfamiliar (not an insult, just a VERY well known film).
