About the artist
MorganIG
Tell us a bit about this design.
Her three dragons are crawling all over her, the way you would expect children to cling to their mother and demand attention. There is an art nouveau twist to the style and pose, parodying Mucha's "The Rose"
Where are you from?
Sarnia, Ontario Canada. I'm right on the border and surrounded by all that wonderful water.

What do you absolutely not want them to find out?
I skied into a wall once. Indoor skiing is not my sport.
Name a few of your favorite things.
my kindle, my hair, my friends and my Zelda games
What kind of art did you make as a kid?
I did a lot of drawings of how my life would be when I grew up: my house, my husband, how many kids I would have, the awesome treehouse in my backyard and the walk-in closet I would put all my shoes in… that and I did a lot of macaroni sculptures.
What is your favorite thing about art nouveau?
My favourite thing about art nouveau is the wonderful expressive quality of line and how it really become the main feature of the piece. Even with very little texture and a limited colour scheme, the line work can carry the piece and make it beautiful. That's what I strive to do with my own work.
Dragon vs. unicorn: which would win the battle?
That depends on whether or not the unicorn can fly or shoot anything from it's eyes/horn. If we are talking just straight out, kind hearted, horn wielding horse, I think the dragon has the advantage, especially with the whole "flames" bit. On the other hand, a unicorn could probably skewer Dany's little baby dragons, as seen in my design.
Describe your favorite shirt that you own, and why you like it so much.
I have a shirt from grade school with a frog on it. He has goggly eyes and legs that actually dangle off the shirt. I've always thought it was bad ass. Interactive shirts rock.
Which is better, gaming, reading, or watching movies? Name your favorite title in your chosen medium.
Reading. Reading all the way. Favourite book would be Wuthering Heights. I know no one can stand it and many have been forced to read it for class during high school, but I love to cry and it gets me every time.
What inspires your work?
I'm inspired by many things but primarily the human form. I tend to obsess over a certain detail at a time, like hair or muscle tissue, and especially my traditional work tends to feel very united because of my use of line and bright colours. When it comes to art related to TV series, books and movies, I really just try to feed the need to see more of it, illustrating a favourite passage from a book, or offering a completely different style of visual for a TV series or movie, as I tired to do here with my Art Nouveau Daenerys.
Any shout outs?
Joseph you better be buying this shirt!

I don't watch Game of Thrones nor have I read the books (although I want to on both accounts) and I got the reference immediately just from seeing this chick on magazine covers while waiting to check out at the supermarket. ;)
Not a lot of people out there have dragon whelps fawning around them. :P
