At what moment during the pilot did you know you were a fan?
The moment when Gob is demonstrating the Aztec Tomb and he corrects Michael for calling his illusion a trick in front of a group of kids. "A trick is something a whore does for money, or candy!".
If you could eat a frozen banana with one character from the show, who would you choose?
Buster with his hook hand... just because it would be entertaining.
What is your favorite thing about creating these pop culture inspired album covers?
They're always based off of some entertainment property that I am a huge fan of. So I always have fun coming up with references and then reading other fans comments online to see if they've picked up on all of the little things. So far nobody really seems to have caught on that the barcodes on the backs of all of the album artwork is scannable via the Amazon.com app on your smart phone of choice. Everything is a reference to something with that property, sometimes even the song length will usually include references to dates when episodes aired or something similar to that.
As an artist, what is your dream project?
I (very) briefly was developing a video-game with a large studio that I worked at several years ago. That was a dream project that was unfortunately put on the shelf to collect dust forever. I'd love to illustrate Children's Books based off of pop-culture properties to help children appreciate the things that their parents love and vice-versa.
If you could give the high school version of yourself one piece of advice, what would it be?
"Don't worry, all of this stuff that you love; Video games, comic books, cartoons, sci-fi... it will all be considered cool to like that stuff one day, and you will use your knowledge of all of this stuff to make a decent living. Take that dreamy high-school football quarterback!! Also, you'll find a very wonderful woman with a good heart, and she'll love all the same things you do, and one day you'll be married to her, and you'll wake up in the morning to find her eating cereal and watching x-men cartoons on the couch. She's awesome, you're gonna love her."
Which movie would you watch for the first time again if you could?
I remember life before The Lord of The Rings. If I could go back and watch any movie again for the first time, it would probably be The Fellowship of the Ring. What an awesome experience that movie was.
When the zombie apocalypse hits, what is your weapon of choice?
Light Saber.
Joebot, you’re a newlywed. What’s your favorite thing about marriage so far?
Being married is awesome! My favorite thing about being married is knowing that I'll always have backup in case the zombies come.
